While nothing I can say offers any evidence: I used to work in a historic movie theater. I and other of my employees/friends have seen a figure rise from the middle section of the smaller theater and move toward the aisle. Others have often been tapped on the shoulder while looking through the projection room's windows into the theaters, though that isn't my story. I'm not sure if this last one counts as a ghost story. One night my friends were driving to my house to drop me off. One particular road on that drive stretches on for a long time as a straight two-lane street and curves sharply to the right. Just beyond that turn is a two-story house. I was in the front seat, my best friend was driving. There were two others in the back. Since it was late and we'd just finished screening a horror film to be played at the theater, we were all talking about other horror movies. We got onto the subject of Darkness Falls, and about what was good about it, and what was obviously missed potential. As we hit that road I noticed something very tall, very gangly, move in front of the windows of that two-story house, which had all its lights on. Since it was distant, our headlights were too far to pick anything up, and since we were talking about Darkness Falls, I figured my mind had made that shadow up. I was content to ignore it. Until my friend, driving, said, "Holy shit, did you see that?" The two of us were starting to freak out while the other two in the back, incredulous, thinking we were trying to scare them, given the conversation, started contesting what both of us saw. We turned that corner and the car started its descent up the short hill that followed. In the middle of arguing we did in fact see a large, gangly figure move in front of the house, another figure appears. My friend and I start to scream, which causes the other friends to scream. Since it's also summer the windows are open, and it's only after passing the figure do we realize it's an old man walking his dog, and I can only imagine his surprise, hearing four adults screaming in terror as they pass him in the late night.

"Everyone else has a three bedroom house"
Bouvre replied to Doom Metal Alchemist's topic in Free-For-All
True, but also, they make most their episodes in like a week. -
If she doesn't know, then she'll continue to spread false information about how that shit doesn't matter, which is the last thing we need, followed by "shitty parents continuing to kill kids by being stupid as fuck."

It's possible part of the joke (a joke that Token doesn't really understand right away, as elaborated in the end of that episode) is that their constant ribbing is just out of play, between friends. That Token doesn't see it as joking is sort of highlighted by the obliviousness of those lyrics, perhaps. -

Heads up, dad: as my new legal guardian, you're probably required by law of inheritance/assets to take over as cosigner for my undergrad student loans.

Well damn, I do that weekly. And my live shows are better because the bar has way better equipment than I do at home. Thanks <3

Quality as in budget, I presume? Is there a strong line between clear and vague, or is it subjective? Or does vague refer to a partial role of history in the documentary, with contemporary focus also included?

It sounds like a blast though. I hope you have fun!

He was majorly important in Peru, and translating him was/still is considered impossible, primarily for his use of made-up phrases/sounds/neologisms and fluctuating registers. Though some have tried, no English poet's singular approach has been completely successful, depending on what you call successful as an English translation.

Well, Vallejo is considered an important modernist poet.
-
No, I just have access to original Vallejo texts from my translation class. "César Vallejo ha muerto, le pegaban todos sin que él les haga nada; le daban duro con un palo y duro también con una soga; son testigos los días jueves y los huesos húmeros, la soledad, la lluvia, los caminos…"

Hay golpes en la vida, tan fuertes... ¡Yo no sé! Golpes como del odio de Dios; como si ante ellos, la resaca de todo lo sufrido se empozara en el alma... ¡Yo no sé!

Quote Cesar Vallejo to a stranger.

I shot Kilgore Trout. I don't know his actual height but I know he's around 6'2'' -
Lyrically, this does not. I know one song of mine lyrically has a bridge, but I've always been influenced by musicians whose lyrics soldier on frequently without bridges (Leonard Cohen, Neko Case, Townes Van Zandt, Tom Waits, and many more), so bridges don't frequently strike me as something that's always useful.

How do I differentiate between vague history documentary, and a poorly done historical documentary?

I know some of you might be thinking: "This belongs in music!" Jokes on you because my therapist told me this wasn't music, so HAH I'm posting it here. https://elliegordon.bandcamp.com/track/flood-tides
