That's unfortunate. Don't care about Batman. One Piece kinda sucks, though.

It's very episodic. Most chapters are pretty short and simple. There isn't much of an overaching story until like the last quarter of it and it's only 19 chapters. Short is probably for the better. There are some real dumb chapters that can make the show a lot better by virtue of not being in it.

As much as I disliked the manga, that looked really good. It's not like the manga was irreparable. If they cut down on the really goofy chapters or raise the main character's IQ 20 points and give her a personality, I could dig it.

It's definitely not surrealist at all. The premise may be unusual enough, especially being a non-hentai doujin.

There's not a lot like Punpun.... Maybe Not Simple or Onani Master Kurosawa? I remember them both being very good. However, I read them in or shortly sfter high school (at least a decade ago), so I can't really speak to the similarities in much detail nor quality. They are both pretty highly regarded by all 10 people who've read them, though.

Based on the first 5 episodes, this is one of the most sexless shows aimed at older audiences I've seen in a while. Like, the most sexual thing has been some guy blushing while looking at Tinder.
