    I really don't get why they put a stay on the district court's ruling when the appellate court already decided not to do so and is going to hear the case soon. They're just making the lower courts look completely obsolete if they're going to immediately just overrule any decision they reach. They're just making a mockery of the entire judicial system and of themselves at this point.

    If only every billionaire were like good ol' Jimmy James... well, things would still be pretty messed up but it'd be a much more of a fun kind of messed up for everyone I imagine then.

    While in private they made a joke of it and some of his buddies gave him a footlong plush toy and a "Felony Footlong" patch that he kept and put on his lunchbox. Shows just how distraught he was over the whole experience. I thought like probably everyone else this whole thing was dead when the grand jury refused to bring charges, but that they'd then go and take him to court still by charging him with a misdemeanor and actually waste a jury's time with this nonsense just shows how absolutely absurd and completely corrupted the Justice Department (I mean I hate even calling it that now) has become. Dude was wearing a bulletproof vest, but oh the mustard! It burns!!

    To be fair, I'd say the capitalization is what makes the real difference there, not the punctuation. This might surprise some people, but I've never cared much for punctuation either, even though I try now to use it properly, I'd just as soon do without it altogether. When I first started posting on the ASMB, I kind of decided to experiment and posted without any punctuation for a while actually. I didn't do it for very long, but I don't think it made much of a difference in people understanding what I was trying to say.

Beshear said the child who died was with a parent at the parts business." At least 8 people on the ground died as a result of the crash in addition to the 3 crew members. One of the engines fell off while the plane was taking off. It being so early, still obviously unclear of what exactly caused it, but plane was 35 years old apparently. That's at the upper end of how long planes typically fly before being retired. Wouldn't surprise me if this turned out to be a case of a private company cutting corners on maintenance and/or just looking to save money by stretching out the life of a plane that no longer had any business of being in the air anymore. In any case, I expect they're gonna get hit with a deluge of lawsuits over this.

    I believe in the olden days tonight's what you would call an ass-kicking supreme. And a well-deserved one at that. Still need to see how Prop 50 goes, but hard to imagine it's not gonna pass at this point. That is probably the most important thing on the ballot tonight. That and the supreme court retention votes in PA, which I'm very happy to see all went yes. Republican talking heads already dismissing the results tonight to no surprise. Only lesson they're gonna learn from this sadly is that they need to work to rig things even harder.

    Yep, and the trump administration lawyers agreed that it would at least partially fund it with the available emergency funds that are currently there just yesterday. Didn't take long for him to step all over that and makes them look like fools... well, bigger fools, since they already made fools of themselves when they agreed to work for the guy.

    Well, we knew it couldn't have been that easy right. Figured he had to be able to do some kind of power up to at least make Luffy have to break some kind of sweat.
