Yeah, the way things are going, we'd deserve it if they do. Found this article and couldn't help but laugh to see them calling it the "Dictator Games" cuz I was thinking the exact same thing. Like that article says though, might be the IOC just decides to take the games away and have them in some other country. Holding them in Los Angeles during the peak of the wildfire season with how bad it's gotten lately, (and can only imagine three years down the road it'll be even worse) not exactly looking like the best idea in the world anymore anyway.

Just finished watching a clip of Lindsey Graham saying he was proud of Trump and Vance, and that he doesn't think Zelensky is "redeemable". Hard to believe he was ever considered to be of a kind with a man like John McCain. It's just so disgusting how phony he is. How all of them are. No principles whatsoever anymore. Just the almighty dollar. That's all that matters to any of them. I'm glad at least Zelensky didn't lower himself to do any kind of groveling before them. Finished Doom Patrol. Gonna be honest, it took me a little while to gather my thoughts about this one because... this show... yeah. Wow. If there's anything I can definitively say about it, it's that, contrary to what I was thinking going in, it is not a super hero show. First of all, none of the characters really have any reliable super powers or abilities, nor are any of them really heroic at all. Mostly they're just self-absorbed, apathetic basket cases really. Also, it didn't have all that much action either, but still... with all that said, I don't think I for one minute found myself ever being bored by any of it because of just the relentless, unpredictable wackiness of it all. Right up unto the end I don't I ever had a clue what was going to happen next. Pretty much the first time I think I can say that about anything I've ever watched. So, yeah... very different, but still extremely entertaining.

Sowing fear and paranoia are just way to easy to do in this modern internet age I think. Yeah, it connects us all in ways that were never possible before and gives us access to all sorts of information that without it would have been inaccessible to most folks, but it also exposes everyone to the virus of misinformation that so many just don't have the antiviral software in their heads if you will to protect them from it.

I'm really hoping all of the responses they get are along those lines, or just nobody responds. That mean the entire federal work force is fired then? Promise Elon? I don't know if I buy that they officially recruited him and gave him a codename, but sometimes if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck... If it's the latter though, gonna be pretty impossible to make him break from backing Russia, no matter who or how many speak out against what he's doing. It's still a relief to see there's at least a small amount of resistance forming on the right against his most recent lies regarding Ukraine.

Might have something to do with the fact that with what they've purportedly cut so far (which is really just mostly from firing people from their jobs) the checks would get people about half a cup of coffee at Starbucks according to people who actually know math. Only way they could ever get anywhere near giving out anything close to the what they were claiming originally would be if they made huge cuts to entitlement programs and defense, so it'd be like blood money honestly.
