GITS hasn't been on Toonami since the beginning of 2015, so I don't see a problem with it being on right now. I like seeing older shows rerun once and a while. This, we can agree on.

If Toonami is currently getting the same numbers as ASA did, and ASA had really good lead ins, and Toonami does NOT have a good lead in (remember, Family Guy has been pretty down recently), wouldn't that mean that in the grand scheme of things, Toonami is actually doing really good for itself?

I never liked Metalocalypse so the fact that Lazzo screwed it over doesn't affect me. Yes, Toonami "needs" ratings, but it doesn't need spectacular ratings. Toonami was brought back to bring some life to a dying action block that was ASA, and in that respect it's been successful. Besides, Adult Swim itself has been down in the ratings for a while. Why should Toonami be expected to continue to succeed while Adult Swim isn't?

After a couple of weeks hiatus for real life reasons, I'm back to watching Shuffle again. I'm on episode 18 now. I'm actually enjoying this show a lot more than I thought I would.

I kind of hope they wait a bit before going ahead with Stardust Crusaders. Don't get me wrong, I like JoJo and want it on Toonami, but it would be nice to get another show in there before JoJo locks down a slot for another six months. And of course, when JoJo comes back they can try it a little later.

JoJo has struck again with terrible retention.

One Piece is fine to watch if watched in spurts. Yes, the pacing per episode is still terrible, but it's much better when you watch 4 or 5 episodes a day as opposed to, say, 1 episode per week. Back in August I watched from the point One Piece was at on Toonami at the time all the way through to the episode that aired last week (I think). I got fatigued, yes, but I also effectively took a six month break from it before I started up again. So, in short, the pacing is terrible, but there are ways around that. So because of that HxH is more watchable for me. I can actually sit and watch an episode a week, instead of feeling like I watched 15 minutes of recap and 5 minutes of content.

^^^Same. I DVR Toonami each week anyway, so I can watch it whenever I want. No point for me to use the app, really.

School Days

That was my first though on entering this thread.

I couldn't do Toonami every weeknight, I barely get sleep as it is. Though admittedly I would like to see Toonami return to some night of the week. Having Toonami on a Monday night would be pretty cool (AKA pretty much the only night not Friday or Saturday I could watch it.)

I honestly stopped watching a lot of TV since I went to college; Toonami, ESPN, and football are pretty much all I have on now. Though occasionally, I'll tune into Adult Swim. Typically Family Guy or American Dad.

I always liked Haruhi better with the long hair, personally.

Well this thread is going to hell quicker than Goku went to HFIL. Of course, I will continue to be entertained by the bitch storm that is currently happening.

I don't particularly like Videl's hair style in Super. I liked that messy cut (or even the long hair) she had in DBZ. Then again, there isn't much I like about Super, so I don't find this surprising.

Goku admittedly seems cooler, though that may be moreso due to the art style of DBZ vs. One Piece and because of the exposure DBZ has had in America. Goku also seems much more self centered than Luffy.

What a sad day, indeed.

This is the impression I got from the trailer as well. I really don't want that to be the story, but I have the worst feeling it will be.

Alright, I have two comments I can make for this. One involves Jim Morrison and indecent exposure, and the other involves Kurt Cobain's suicide. Which one do you want more?

Sometimes I come into a thread and see something like this, and I wonder to myself, "What series of events had to take place to set up such a phrase?" Also this is going on my list of the greatest all time out of context quotes.
