In the previews, it seems that the actual creepiness from the drawings is missing from the monsters, and that's why I haven't been all that interested in watching it. I wish someone had spent the money trying to bring that atmosphere out of it.

Usually no. Anything I kill in my house tends to be insects that sting/bite, pests that can multiply quickly, or spiders that are too big or making egg sacs. The only ones I apologize to is if it's something harmless that I accidentally badly injured with my butterfingers while trying to dump it out of the house with a paper towel.

Kohl's, Walmart, and whatever store in the mall I run into that has cute stuff on sale. Pretty much anywhere except for used clothing stores like Goodwill because wearing those clothes will majorly set off my OCD.

I hate that this happens to me too. Health stuff, anime, stories about kids/pets/spouses dying will make me cry. A Reddit post about a woman's child dying from an irresponsible grandparent who didn't take severe allergies for stuff like coconut seriously got me the other day.

Yeah, it seemed strange that I'd never heard anything about him personally after seeing so many books sold by him and a series of movies being made. So I googled him and bam, he been dead. Stuff like that is why I don't put things off for later in life, especially with more resources available to me now. 2019 is a shitshow, but current technology makes things so much easier if you've got time, patience to learn, and a little change in your pockets.

It's not as dire as it used to be, but it does still happen sometimes like with Stieg Larson. I had no idea he was dead until The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest came out.

Because it's the truth(unless you're born rich), and people do stupid shit when they think like that. They risk their homes, empty their bank accounts, etc. because someone offered them a get rich quick scheme. There are conversations about this happening in the writing community right now because more of them are self-publishing, and some receive bad advice to spend like 10 grand to put a book together and they'll be the next E.L. James. Which is funny because James wasn't an overnight success either. She made a name for herself in the fanfiction community first, and when she got 50 Shades of Grey published, her thousands of rabid fans gave her all the free marketing an author can dream of. And since it was Twilight fanfiction with the names changed, its original clout was based off of Twilight's fame. Twilight might count more as an overnight success though. The writer had a dream about the book, wrote it, sent it to the publisher, and then it blew up months after its release. Twilight also met all of that former bestselling genre's market demands at the time that had gone ignored for years. I had some sort of talking point to wrap this all up, but I made myself tired.

That article didn't even touch the extremely stupid statements that tool made in his deposition, but his fans are still acting like toddlers in the comments.

*Goes to google* Ohhh, a 4.6 on IMDB. Scifi shows usually come with a few easily pleased fans to bump them up to a 6, so that means everyone hated it. That's a shame because it's another scifi show(i.e. Pandora) that majorly bombed this season.

I wait for the plantains to turn pretty dark(that's when they're sweetest) before slicing them into thick chunks, next sprinkling a little sugar and cinnamon on them, and then cooking them in enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan. For the chips, I believe you have to slice them thinly when the skins are still green and then cook them using more oil.

You have my sympathy. I've witnessed multiple tantrums over products slathered in Frozen characters. No kids and usually not bothered by them acting up in stores because they ain't going home with me. Toddlers can be trying once they've become inconsolable and reached that inhuman shrieking phase though.
