lol Ouch. -
This, except I'd reword it as "the older I get, the more I realize people suck" because most people really are assholes, even the most well-meaning ones.

I don't know, but I petition we blame Steven Seagal. Because of the gif below.

Yeah, you're right about that. It's definitely a flawed process, but it's the best we got. -

That's fair. I can't really disagree with you on that. I will say, however, that in order for any college player to make in the NFL at all, you have to have a decent to great combination of intangibles, character, raw talent (in some cases, combined with athleticism), and work ethic, with at least one of those topped out. Look at Tom Brady, for example. Not a good athletic specimen nor did he have a lot of apparent raw talent. However, his character (well, for the most part, anyway) and intangibles were great, and we all know his work ethic broke the friggin' scale. Granted, his falling to the sixth round put a massive chip on his shoulder, but remember this part as well: He grew up a 49ers fan, and they passed on him in the third round by selecting a guy who didn't even play a down in the NFL. (Now this probably actually makes you point even more valid, but there's a point to this.) Compare him to legendary bust Ryan Leaf. Leaf had all sorts of raw talent, but his intangibles were questionable, his work ethic was also questionable, and his character was pretty much non-existent, and several teams at the time thought he was better than Peyton Manning, (Team culture also plays a factor, but not all the time.) Case in point: I do agree with you quite a bit, but I have throw in the caveat that it should really be judged on a case by case basis because it can be s a perfect storm of greatness for some and a perfect storm of suck for others. -

Bummer. I wonder why that's the case. I was hoping to see him play somewhere on Sundays. -
Happy Birthday, Vamped!
-
The Texans already won this year's draft, and all they did was take a future franchise QB and the best defensive player in the draft in back to back draft picks. *does happy dance* Damn, it feels good to be a Texan...s fan. (Yeah, that sucked. lol)

Anthony Richardson is the third quarterback off the board! He goes to the Colts with the fourth pick. -

And we jump up to number 3. The Texans select Will Anderson, Jr. third overall. I wonder what we gave up in order to move up? Edit: We gave up quite a bit. The 12th overall pick, a second-round pick from this year (33rd), and a first and a third from next year's draft. A little hefty, but I think it's totally worth it. -

And my Houston Texas have the second pick. They select...CJ Stroud. (I'm not sold on this guy, but I'd love to be proven wrong.) -

Also, the conditional 2024 2nd round pick the Packers are getting from the Jets turns into a 1st round pick if Rodgers plays 65% of the Jets' offensive plays in 2023. So Pooh, pray he gets injured halfway through the season so you can keep that first-rounder for next year. -
