went to the doctor yesterday for the fucked up back. he doesn't know what's up. could be muscular. could be a slipped disk. probably not kidneys or other organ issues. he put me on muscle relaxers and pain pills to see if that helps. so far, it has not.

"you sure as fuck can't do that anywhere in this state" doesn't imply internal company policy re: foreign food/bev, but it DOES imply there's some health/sanitation/liquor code in place, or in other words, a legal restriction. Should I no longer take your own words at face value? -

there's always a big gap between "can't do it" and "can't legally do it" just fyi -
I'm a fan of sweet baby wholes myself. But I'll eat a dill in a pinch.

God damn, the more you know rainbow right here.

Stubbies? Is that for real? Like, read the room assholes. And thank you for the goods. But I'm thinking along the lines of someone who was damaged in war. If that guy was 5'10" and he says "hey I wanna be 6'4" doc" I think he deserves to be 6'4".

Let's say you lost both your legs at the knee or halfway between the knee and hip. Whatever, that part isn't terribly important. Anyways, you go to the doctor and it's time to get fitted for your prosthetic legs. Does the doctor ask you what height you want to be? Or does he just look at your old driver's license and go off that?

i'm gonna have to go see someone about this bullshit. really thought things were going alright this morning, but now it's fucking worse than it was yesterday. and i'm getting sore muscles in other places now too, i assume because of carrying myself differently in an attempt to be in less pain. i'm used to chronic pain because i beat the shit out of my body for years being young and stupid, but this ain't no sore knee or shoulder. shit's on a different level.

getting started on the big electric brewery build this weekend. first step is cutting a bunch of holes into a big steel enclosure for the control panel. got my patterns all put together and ready, and bought up a bunch of hole saws for all the different cuts. i could probably save a bunch of time and frustration by taking the box and patterns to a local cnc shop to let them chew it up, but that's not very diy so fuck that.

i appreciate it. never noticed it until a couple hours after my workout yesterday morning. been getting progressively worse since then, like a muscle injury that i'm aggravating by remaining upright. i'm gonna have to dip into the wife's stash of happy pills if this shit doesn't turn around soon.
-
i really don't think so. it's just below the shoulder blade. wife has had kidney stones quite a bit in the past, and she thinks that pain would be a few inches lower than this.

got a pain in my back on the left side that won't fucking go away. feels like muscle pain, but nothing has been touching it, not pain pills or muscle relaxers or heavy stuff, nothing. wonder if i cracked a rib or something. whatever it is, it fucking sucks and i'm mostly useless on my feet unless i'm leaning on something.

Hey did i tell y'all im making some alcohol?
wacky1980 replied to SwimModSponges's topic in General Discussion
So this was fun. The big ones in the back? Those are 400 barrel (15,000 gallon) fermenters. My fermenters at home are 1/6 barrel size. Only 2400x difference... Wife next to the empty Pseudo Sue cans. There were 2 more stacks this size of Pseudo cans, plus all the other flavors. Barrel room. Drool. -
How big is a scale model of distance to the next star?
wacky1980 replied to _lost_username_'s topic in Free-For-All
again, you're dealing with probabilities on such a large scale that the chances we're the first species to advance into space (or even being near the front end of the intergalactic species line) is slim. even if this part implied we were early bloomers, the thought that some other species took just one start/stop cycle less to begin, puts them millions of years ahead of us. we'll crack relativity in <1000 years if we still exist. -

4.3 light years, or approx 25 trillion miles. if you could travel as fast as a bullet (let's say around 1,500mph or 2x speed of sound), it would take around 2 million years to get there. if you could travel as fast as voyager 2 (currently traveling 35,000mph and ~11 billion miles away, which took 45 years), it would take around 80,000 more years to get there. -

wacky1980 replied to _lost_username_'s topic in Free-For-All
scarcity only works when you don't consider the fucking insanely large scale we're dealing with. and the distance barrier collapses once general relativity is broken, which we can assume will happen for us eventually so it's most definitely already happened elsewhere. no, i'm a believer in dark forest theory myself.
