  1. i use maps whenever i can. they don't require being plugged into the wall to function properly.
  2. link so apparently, only 2800 of the 3100 or so documents were released tonight. the remainder have been withheld for another 6 months for "further review" becuase the last 54 years wasn't enough time to redact all the necessary info. have a look, maybe discover something huge (but probably not), and let us know about it here.
  3. no, a house is generally considered a single-family residence (in some cases, as many as three) and is zoned residential. an apartment complex is a multiple-unit residence, sometimes combined with other space for commercial offices and shops, and is generally zoned commercial. no one who lives in an apartment says "come to my house" you nitwit. they might say "come to my place" or "come to my apartment" though.
  4. douche by summer's eve.
  5. ok Nabloom[/member] here you go. https://8values.github.io/results.html?e=52.4&d=55.9&g=53.1&s=55.5 centrist. lol.
  6. what. i already participated in a political spectrum quiz today. come back tomorrow.
  7. illinois. still plenty of corn fields around here though. i kinda like candy corn too
  8. that kinda sounds like something got pinched on that side of your neck. make someone give you a neck rub for like 30 minutes. probably won't make it better, but who wouldn't take a 30 minute neck rub?
  9. sour patch kids.

    So.

i just keep my shit on mute.
  11. just don't move out of the path, and you're good.
  12. we drove about 3 hours to see it. the next one will also require about 3 hours of driving. as someone who got to see the last one, you already know how much you want to see it again. to the people that didn't see it, they just have to take our word for it that it's very much worth taking a couple days off work and traveling several hours to witness it firsthand.
  13. i was going to camp out in a state forest in southern il, but then the wife decided she wanted to make the trip and bring the kids too, so we axed the camping and picked a more vehicle- and family-friendly location for viewing. i'd have preferred to watch it from a secluded clearing with no one else around, but it was honestly pretty cool to be there with a group of about 100 other viewers, listening to them all cheering and expressing their amazement at the sight. no other celestial event even comes close to totality.
  14. well, some of us were lucky enough to witness it firsthand. some watched it on tv/internet. some didn't really give a fuck. anyways, i was gonna share these back when the eclipse was still fresh, but i got distracted and forgot. science fucking rules. totality. probably one of the most awesome pictures i've ever taken. we were in a field that looked like this just before totality began (not the overall eclipse, mind you. this was at about 98% obscured, and still pretty bright outside): then this is from about 30 seconds later, during totality: when they say it goes from light to dusk, they ain't fucking around. it got dark. birds stopped making noise, crickets started chirping. it was eerie af. a couple more pieces i've put together that are pretty fun. eclipse in phases: and a timelapse of totality. it's quick. i should have probably done 5-second intervals instead of 10, but i didn't. next time, i suppose (4/8/2024 btw):
  15. a snake is never your friend. it just learns to rely on a human for food or warmth. don't think it won't bite you the moment it thinks it's being threatened.
  16. variety
  17. gtfo here tommy! fuck, i messed up the line.
  18. yeah, we get it. "no. please. stop." it's like you're just begging for more. kinda pathetic, tbqh.
  19. tic saying "please...no...stop..."
  20. don't waste money on bulk mixers (46oz cans of pineapple juice might seem like a deal, but you'll be dumping 36oz of it out when you only make 3 drinks off it all night). beyond that, your selection looks decent. midori and blue curaco won't move very fast unless you've got specific drinks in mind. you might want to add a bourbon and a scotch. possibly a gin and a well vodka too. some bitters, and a simple syrup (homemade, of course). good collection!
  21. i still plan on going. it's just encouraging to hear that there's things other than a fracture that could be going on. i'm pretty sure my group policy covers chantix. it's a really good policy. but i'll double-check before i go in (probably next week).
  22. i'd prefer it to not be broken, so this is encouraging.
