Ginguy Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Go lay out in the sun on a blanket, swimming might be a little cold.
MEXobiologist Posted May 16, 2017 Author Posted May 16, 2017 Go lay out in the sun on a blanket, swimming might be a little cold. it will definitely be cold! last year it warmed up quick but this year will be normal and you probably won't get good water temps til sometime in june... maybe late.

PerfectFlowingHair Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Can't you just, like, stick a toe in to see if it's swimmin' weather? 72 degrees is warm enough for a swimsuit if you're not in water, but no idea for actual swimmin'.
Chapinator_X Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Only if the preferred method of going in the water is to be submerged in ice water and hope that your body gets adjusted to the temperature within the next minute or 10
Mewn Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Hmm, probably fine since it's sticky. Might be a bit chilly, tho.
MEXobiologist Posted May 16, 2017 Author Posted May 16, 2017 It was waaaay too windy on the lake and I think the storm last night turned up some winter gross gross cuz it reeked like dead fish in the most serious way. I bailed. Probs gonna just go get a brew downtown and chill on the patio instead. Hopefully fridays weather is better.
MEXobiologist Posted May 16, 2017 Author Posted May 16, 2017 Hmm, probably fine since it's sticky. Might be a bit chilly, tho. The air temp was actually not bad at all but the wind was whipping stinging sand at me

Mewn Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 The air temp was actually not bad at all but the wind was whipping stinging sand at me Aww, maybe another day. Wind can be such a downer when you want to swim, esp if there's sand. Suppose to start getting in the 100s here, maybe I'll take a dip in the pool when it's that hot out.
