aligatorxjane Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 It's only part time 11/hr work and I've almost finished my degree with an internship to boot. And it's food service, so it fucking sucks. But should I stay until I find a new job? I'm just worried that I'll have to explain to a potential new employer that I quit. Is that really so bad that I should stick it out?

At best you can say you were in school and only had the job for an income, but it became too ill-fitting for you and you were well off enough that you decided to leave.
Distortedreasoning Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 only stick it out i you need the money. if not say kiss me ass and get on unemployment O0 :420:
Ginguy Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 I'd keep the income, even though it sucks. If nothing else it will motivate you to find better employment.
aligatorxjane Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 only stick it out i you need the money. if not say kiss me ass and get on unemployment O0 :420:  Can't get unemployment if you're a student or if you had the job WHILE you were a student in my state :\ But yeah idk if I'm even that desperate anyway.
Ginguy Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Can't get unemployment if you're a student or if you had the job WHILE you were a student in my state :\ But yeah idk if I'm even that desperate anyway. Typically you are not eligible for unemployment if you quit.

JeNewBee Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Yeah keep it Wait it out See if you feel the new one is a good fit or not

PhilosipherStoned Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 I'm still looking for a way to keep the one I was about to get.. Sadly the internet hasnt been much help. I wouldn't be here searching for answers if I even had a sliver of hope left.

Tell them that you left a job to gain experience in the field your degree is in via the internship
