Anyone Else Have Figurative Heart Attacks….

When family members call you because everyone knows to just text. I speak to people so infrequently because I text and associate actual calls with emergencies 😬🫠

If my older relatives call it's nothing because they really don't know how to text but if relatives 60 and under calling I know it's probably bad news.

This is exactly why I don’t answer the phone unless it’s someone I talk to on a very regular basis. And those people pretty much know I’m a text-only person in almost all circumstances.

My Dad is 80 but texts me mostly when he, or my brother calls I get really nervous 😬

The only person that calls me is my uncle and that’s from prison but even then I only answer about half the time. I don’t like talking on the phone

What if he's going to get shanked in the yard because he saw something he shouldn't and he can't tell the guards because they're in on it. You are his last hope. You gotta get to the Warden before it all goes down. Only, you figure out too late that the Warden is the mastermind. My uncle is insane. He’s in a wheelchair and smacked some other inmate upside the head for joking around with him.  Wasn’t a particularly offensive joke but he saw it as a disrespect. I can’t get roped in to all that mess. It’s bad enough that I will be the one taking care of him in the future. Last time I spoke to him he wanted me to send him $ so he can open a cookie business. Like wtf I’m not a shark on shark tank 😆

i pick up...but i don't say anything. *dons tinfoil bonnet* i think they will use my voice for something. then i will say 'what'

My late aunt was anti cell phone (although, she was glued to her ipad) She was quite literally the only person that ever called the land line

I dont answer shit. Work correspondence is through our portal...a few coworkers have my number but i dont answer. 

My mom calls just "to hear my voice" which annoys the shit out of me. I love my mama, and i get shes old and probably lonely sometimes, but I cant get her to grasp the idea that i dont wanna talk because we barely talked when I was young. I would try to get her attention and she would shoo me away and tell me to come back during commercials....So I dont see why 40 years later we need to sit on the phone going "yup...mhmm" for 20 minutes. I know I'll regret it when i can no longer hear her voice but calling me to sit on the phone for small talk is annoying.

The worst shit is messenger....I dont get why people think just because we're friends on FB that they have the luxury of calling me to chat just because I'm online...i ignore that shit, and don't even text back.... don't do that, don't fucking call me on msngr...wtf is wrong with you.

Mum knows to text me for stuff, but the idiot bf will call me when he's on his lunch break at work just to say "whatcha doin?" and not much else.
