Ah, I haven't really followed them close enough to catch running gags. Figured it was them recycling content, which would be disappointing since they've remained funny for a very long time. Quote

It’s a deliberate story frame they use for every school shooting, right down to phrasing and quotes. It’s more like a grim ritual to denote the tragedy, akin to a bugler playing Taps. 4 Quote
[classic swim] Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Saw a modern day “there’s an attack on Christianity” caption several hours ago that made me shit bricks. A sociopath can go make swiss cheese out of your kids but McGruff The Crime Dog will always watch over you. 3 Quote
discolé monade Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 i care. i was going to post this headline in the shooting thread...but you got this. look...i care A LOT. because as we can see....this plague is reaching. typically it was young men/teens... but now the plague is shifting to young women/teens. small town, like mine, took $$ from other sources and have made all schools here like a prison. i don't want to type this next statement..... but it's only a matter of time till it hits "your' hometown. we homeschool... we are so fucking worried about which bathroom everyone can use. we are so worried about women taking care of their health. but fuck the kids...guns don't kill...people school children do 5 Quote

With the prevalence of these shootings, a female shooter was bound to happen, but it still is almost entirely a male problem. Quote
little_girl_lost Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 It was a catholic school this time, tell me again how putting god back in schools prevents this shit. 3 1 Quote

Twenty-four years ago, my then-eleven year old came home from school with the news that they'd been on lockdown. A seventh grader brought a handgun, ammo, and a kill list to school. Fortunately, he told a friend, who told a teacher, and they were able to get his knapsack (where he'd put everything) away from him without incident. This was twenty-four years ago. So much has changed. Why is this still the same? 2 2 Quote
