All of his commissioners were resigning one-by-one over the past week, can't say anyone who follows it is surprised.

I'm assuming the unsealed charges involve taking/bundling/masking foreign campaign contributions.

Mayor Adams is a piece of shit. He played the race card on AOC when she said he should resign. He said something along the lines of asking for the resignation of the second Black mayor of NYC is hypocritical. He said more but being as corrupt as he is, and playing the race card, as the mayor of the largest city in the country is laughable.  I stopped liking him when he berated an elderly Jewish woman at a town hall about rent stabilization increases.  She was talking with her hands (a very Jewish thing to do) and he started demanding that she stop pointing cuz he’s the mayor and demands respect. He also was saying shit like “this is Washington Heights” making it sound like because she’s a white Jew she can’t speak up for the neighborhood that she lived in her entire life in this country (she was a Holocaust survivor). He’s garbage and back in November when shit started hitting the fan I knew he was going down 

there are only 2 reasons that you would surround yourself with criminals and they are

1.  You’re down with it and participating in criminal acts

Or

2. You’re so dumb and incompetent that all the people around you commit crimes and you’re clueless

They’re unsealing the indictment today hopefully that means we get to know exactly the charges.  Once the public knows and if it’s really bad , they’ll demand his resignation. I think Hochul can replace him if he refuses to step aside

Yeah our last 2 mayors have been pretty bad. DiBlasio was not good either. He would get cursed out in the middle of the street by passersby 😆

and yes it would be Juumane Williams if he resigns which he’s refusing however NYers are gonna be pissed that he stole $10,000,000 from public funds and forced the FDNY to pass a sky scraper death trap. He’s gonna go.

i misunderstood and also didn't realize the gov could pull that particular lever

as of earlier today she hadn't said anything worth anything, just kinda the 'let's wait and see' delay stuff because they had a decent relationship

Just yesterday I read that she wouldn’t consider it, but I kinda felt that would change once the indictment was unsealed.

he would have to reverse every single one of his positions on NYS/NYC issues, *and* he would have to testify to state legislators who he knows hate him every February to plead for more NYC funding in the state budget

Yes, I too am worried that the many many bribes I've received from foreign governments in exchange for political favors will be looked into. I'm so glad he's standing in the way of that. :S

Inorite?!? Like wtf?  He’s also crying about him being indicted but DiBlasio wasn’t. I’m not sure if it was a grand jury that didn’t indict DiBlasio or if the feds just didn’t have enough to go to a grand jury. My understanding is that the feds come correct or they don’t come at all. It’s why they have something like a 95% conviction rate. Might even be higher than that

Yeah, that's my understanding as well.

If the Feds are the ones pulling the trigger, they HAVE all the ammo they need.

Adams’ lawyer is insisting that the upgrades were “gratuities” and not bribes and since he was Bklyn Borough President and not Mayor or Mayor elect it’s not bribery because a borough president doesn’t have much power

well, there it is guys. Bribes are ok as long as your position is weak.  Ignore the consulate that he forced the FDNY to pass inspection. That was just a reciprocal “gratuity” I suppose

Adam’s still refuses to resign as all the people around him resign. The Superintendent of NYC Public Schools resigned and was supposed to stay until December but then he decided the sooner the better. Hochul has been seen in public with him. Probably to tell him she’s not forcing him to do anything.  No one wants him to stick around. Every single demographic has a majority wanting him to resign.  It’s insane.
