Seriously, an $1000 steak probably won’t taste better than a $50 one

I remember when the Salt Bae guy made a restaurant where he served this ludicrously expensive steak with gold leaf.  It was overrated.

At that point, unless the steak is being served by someone fellating you while you’re eating it, I’m not dropping a grand on it.

I was hoping this would be about Kobe beef, not Salt Bae. I never had 1000 dollar steak, but I have had Kobe beef in Japan that cost at least 100 dollars. It's not like a typical steak experience. The steak is like a beef-flavored butter that melts in your mouth.

As for Salt Bae, when he does his signature move with the salt, it rolls down his sweaty hairy arms onto the steak. Oh yeah, a most exquisite use of 1000 dollars.

But seriously, my best option is buying a good steak at, say, HEB or Kroger and cooking it to my own specifications. If I can't do that, going out to Longhorn Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse, or even Outback Steakhouse is fine. They're not that expensive when it comes to steakhouses. Unless if it's the absolute best prime rib you can get (Wagyu beef prime rib), $100 for a cut of meat is ridiculous.
