I'm recording it and watching it spread out over several weeks. Compared to the regular anime, this isn't as high a priority.

Yeah It's not really much of a priority for me either...besides I'm not looking forward to all the hbo max commercials

Heading out tonight, but let’s be honest, by design this isn’t a night they want you watching Toonami.

They want you signing up for HBO Max and putting this on -

and how many are gonna do that because of this?

doesn't seem like these hbo max promotions on toonami have helped much if at all

More than 0.

It also helps that The Suicide Squad is actually a pretty damn good movie.  They let James Gunn go 85% Troma, which is about 50% more Troma than most major studios would ever allow.

Hey guys I'm gonna skip this one. I'm not interested in watching the show. Plus I get to spend Saturdays doing stuff other than sitting in front of the TV! Enjoy!

That Doesn't Mean a mountain of people will subscribe to hbo max because of this stunt which is what they are probably hoping for....

HBO Max is one of the more costly streaming services and has some steep competition so it's not like they have the edge over disney or netflix

Disney has nostalgia working for them(Plus star wars/marvel content)and netflix is the classic streaming service the one that initially kickstarted it all

HBO Max Doesn't have the nostalgia power that Disney brings to the table and that's a key factor here

six censored bleeps already.....was this really a good idea?

someone needs to be yelled at for this shit

this is why we shouldn't have had a season 1 marathon for HQ because it's bleeps galore now

Heh, looks like they're gonna beep them all so they'll need to hope that there are some sequences that the beeps make funnier, since that does happen sometimes lol.

Hearing all the bleeps downstairs is getting annoying

I still remember this insane NYE stunt Adult Swim pulled years ago when they put the first 3 minutes of the ATHF movie on and then put it in a tiny window while constantly advertising it.

At this point they oughta do the same with The Suicide Squad.

You’re not wrong.  Same day theater/HBO releases was a desperate move (and one that seriously pissed off just about everybody) but it seems to have worked.

eh for the moment but in the long run i don't see it working out well because HBO Max's price doesn't leave much room for other services

and it's not so great it could be your only one

I didn't realize the marathon started at 9:30 Central.

I was watching the Olympics when I checked the channel guide on my DVR and saw that.  So I missed the first episode and about three minutes of the second episode.

So, this is not your typical DC show.  This is more like a "wacky" wannabe Venture Bros. except using actual comic characters and not parody characters.

And I gotta say I didn't find it funny at all.  Pretty tryhard and failing at imitating the Venture Bros. formula.

Harley Quinn's voice doesn't sound fitting to me and is quite annoying.  Harley's voice should be higher pitched and more playful.

So the Toonami promo on this was kind of deceptive.  I guess I should have researched the show on my own.

Yeah that's kinda what it makes me think of too. Ivy's pretty good.
