And by globalist don't mean people that believe in a globe-shaped earth, but advocates of a supposed New World Order.

I don't really give much a shit to the answer, as unlike actual disciplines of study that are careful in their terminology and organization, these people really have nothing to stand on. I just know if one is likely to believe a farther-fetched conspiracy theory, they are likely to believe others ones.

What would be the problem with Flat-Earthers calling them Globalists?  Are you suggesting that they can somehow believe they're wrong about an industrial conspiracy but right about the shape of the planet?

I'm just pointing out the irony in the terminology.

I'm aware.  I wanted to know why you thought it was ironic when I pretty clearly isn't.

Um, it is in the sense an Atheist would say "Oh my God." There's no deeper thought needed than this.

A flat-earther is going to use the term "globalist" as an insult, not as a affirmation that the earth is globe shaped.  In fact, they're no doubt acutely aware that using the term reinforces the fact the parallel conspiracy is propagating the myth the earth is globe shaped.
