Actions produce reactions, correct?

Reactions do not occur without actions; nothing happens spontaneously. A ball will not begin to roll up a hill without force being applied. Correct?

Everything currently existing does so because of a previous action which brought it into the state of existence.

This is true of everything that has ever existed. This is true of everything that will ever exist.

You decide to push the ball up the hill.

The ball is moved by force exerted by hand; your hand is moved by electrochemical reactions in your musculature produced by your brain. Those electrochemical impulses within your brain were caused by your decision to move the ball. This decision was caused by electrochemical impulses, which were in turn caused by electrochemical impulses sent from your eyes upon viewing the typed request. The typed request was caused by electrochemical reactions in your monitor which encoded a displayed pattern of light. Etc. Etc. Etc.

All of these reactions are possible, are mandated, by the actions which occurred beforehand.
