He has Destroyer energy? Training to be a Destroyer? Sure that makes sense for his personality... And the Destroyer concept still makes no sense given past lore, that all past dieties were trying to protect the universe. Doesn't even make sense in Super continuity since Old Kai said there was no logic, reason, or divine purpose to Beerus destruction. In fact, the the Zenos, Angels, and Destroyers act, it comes more like these "gods" just got their position through sheer power, than virtuous divine purpose.

He was trying to get them to learn Ultra Instinct apparently. Maybe this is also what that line about Super Saiyan being a crutch was about.
