Ginguy Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 My backpack is a Swiss Army backpack. As in issued by the Swiss military. Oiled canvas and leather with a metal frame, it is indestructible.
Raptorpat Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 A "lifetime warranty" is for the expected lifetime of the product, not the lifetime of the owner.

Raptorpat Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 according to the jansport FAQ, they actually warranty it for your lifetime, but their actually warranty document is unavailable so i guess this time it's actually legit

I guess my fav backpack broke and i was so sad i went to their website and noticed the warranty lol. I mailed it in and got it back in a couple weeks like new.

Gina Szanboti Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 The out is "normal wear and tear." I had one that the canvas frayed at the top of the bag and the zipper would only work one way, and they refused to fix it or replace it because normal wear and tear or some shit. I was pissed. 1

lupin_bebop Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 (edited) Swiss Gear and Targus are better. I had those 2 bags in the links for literally 15 years before they gave up the ghost. Well, the Targus one did. The straps broke. The Swiss Gear one.....the outside loops came off, but everything else was intact. Between them, I put about 265K SkyMiles on them. Along with about 350 physical walking/running miles, and 85K car miles. Edited August 8, 2019 by lupin_bebop
