OwlChemist81 Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 (edited) Episode #58 (Season 3, Episode 20): "Special Episode: Save The World With Love!!" Well, this is as close as we're gonna get to having this movie on Toonami, at least for a while. Watch the episode tonight on Toonami at 3:30 AM, then watch the movie...uhhh...streaming, I guess? Jman Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 I’m convinced the time change is due to internal politics and Hulu. MHA continually crushes graphic novel sales and Hulu views, essentially being a cottage industry into itself. Also last week’s airing gained on the show before it. 1 1 1
The1gairon Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 The ratings may be the lowest for this ep in this whole show just because it feels the most gimmickly-fillerish. But it is a fun change of pace anyway. 1

Uhhh last weeks airing gained on the SIX shows before it. 1
OwlChemist81 Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 I actually have a theory that Toonami was gonna try to either air Two Heroes or sponsor a theatrical run after this episode--if it aired at 10:30. The deal fell through so they decided to bury it. 1
ben0119 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Oh that's right, My Hero Academia is still on, it's just last. 1 1
OwlChemist81 Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 Yes, indeed! If you like All Might, this is your episode! Also, there's this David Shield guy...
ben0119 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 All Might's origin story isn't even in the main story?!

We saw Demarco getting all defensive saying if everyone who was mad now had watched it, it wouldn't have gotten moved. Except wasn't it doing well?
mochi Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 I'm curious what the Hollywood movie they're allegedly making based on this is gonna be like 'cause this is like the only anime that could potentially NOT be horrible if given the hollywood hero treatment 1

Except wasn't it doing well? Well, at the time it seemed it was dragging Dragon Ball Super down, even though it was slowly building an audience at 10:30. Now it does well to pull a 0.11 at 3:30 AM! CountFrylock Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 anyone else agree this is the worst kind of episode to end the block on? 1 1

DangerMouse Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Pretty sure doing that would qualify as torture, Bakugo....

DangerMouse Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Wait, didn't Deku start his whole theory that it was "her" before then saying it was none of them. LOL
DangerMouse Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 (edited) LOL Bakugo, that was a pretty good complaint Edited July 14, 2019 by DangerMouse

That was the theory for Death Note and Ghost in the Shell too. And plenty of other series that aren't so tied to Japanese culture and would be easy to do in live action (though you can do almost anything with good effects now.) Same should theoretically be true for Bebop. We'll see how that goes. On top of the other two factors, the success of superhero movies should make this one work easily too.
OwlChemist81 Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 WHAT WAS THIS MAJOR THING? OH....LOLOL!!!!!!
