Save 43% on the 'My Hero Academia: Two Heroes' Blu-ray

Episode #58 (Season 3, Episode 20): "Special Episode: Save The World With Love!!"

Well, this is as close as we're gonna get to having this movie on Toonami, at least for a while. Watch the episode tonight on Toonami at 3:30 AM, then watch the movie...uhhh...streaming, I guess?

I’m convinced the time change is due to internal politics and Hulu.

MHA continually crushes graphic novel sales and Hulu views, essentially being a cottage industry into itself.  Also last week’s airing gained on the show before it.

I actually have a theory that Toonami was gonna try to either air Two Heroes or sponsor a theatrical run after this episode--if it aired at 10:30.

The deal fell through so they decided to bury it.

We saw Demarco getting all defensive saying if everyone who was mad now had watched it, it wouldn't have gotten moved.  Except wasn't it doing well?

I'm curious what the Hollywood movie they're allegedly making based on this is gonna be like

'cause this is like the only anime that could potentially NOT be horrible if given the hollywood hero treatment

it was, "you weren't watching it" has always been AS's go to excuse for when a show they were airing or a block they were airing got fucked with due to executive meddling

Well, at the time it seemed it was dragging Dragon Ball Super down, even though it was slowly building an audience at 10:30. Now it does well to pull a 0.11 at 3:30 AM!

I think the same is true of Lupin.

anyone else agree this is the worst kind of episode to end the block on?

Hard to argue with you there!

But this does seem to lead-in to Gemusetto Machu Picchu pretty well, IMHO!

I Just really haven't felt gundam origin so far...so after a certain point the block just nosedives

I do and don't at the same time

I do because like....Part 5 is CLEARLY TRYING to appeal to a Western audience in and of itself

but also don't because....hollywood WOULD find a way to ruin it

In that case, I don't necessarily trust Hollywood not to F up MHA either!

Didn't know they were making a movie of this.

That was the theory for Death Note and Ghost in the Shell too.  And plenty of other series that aren't so tied to Japanese culture and would be easy to do in live action (though you can do almost anything with good effects now.)

Same should theoretically be true for Bebop.  We'll see how that goes.

On top of the other two factors, the success of superhero movies should make this one work easily too.
