1. Your baby can read

I bought this and started her on it from 10 months of age. We sat her in front of the tv for hours watching the vids

2. Library storytime

From age 1 to 7 i took her to all the story time reading every story reading event i could. We only stopped because of voice lessons

3. Buying books

Buying books early is good cuz the child learns by seeing the same words over and over. I would continually ask her whats happening next after she memorized the book. Didnt do this for a whole lotta books tho

4. Library books

When she was real little, i picked out abt 10 small easy reader books myself. When she got a little older, she picked out her own books (she loved this). We read them together until about age 6...then she eventually started reading on her own and she selects chapter books

We go to the library every weekend or every other weekend or longer if she gets a lot of books. I renew the books thru the website. She hasnt lost one book!

You can buy whatever you want and you can take them to library every day... If they don't want to read they aren't going to. Unless you're holding a gun to her head.

Howd buddy get so good in math? My parents did zilch to help me in math and it always came naturally. Madison is touch and go.

Real answer, he's my child and he inherited my affinity for numbers....Neffie didn't.....I hate it because I have to teach her math in the backwards way the school teaches her for her to get it.  Buddy is on a whole nuther' level.....He learned how to multiply by 2s, then I taught him 9s.....He picked it up in like 3 days.  Neffie still aced it but I hate how she equates.

Please remember that this is Madison's accomplishment, not yours. It's great that you provide her with a supportive environment for reading, but a kid either reads, or they don't. You were lucky - you got a reader.

You don't have to be attractive fuggs for someone else to be more attractive than you. In fact, the less attractive you are the easier it is for people to accomplish that. But you are retarded.

Because she's a bright kid who likes to read. You can't make a kid like to read any more than you can make them like liver, and you can't coach her to be smart any more than you can coach her to be world class in a sport for which she has no aptitude.
