Half and half.

I have two other accounts I could have posted on but I choose not to.

I worked 12 days in the last two weeks and I've even only able to play games mostly at night.

which is harder to restore fire / water?

well if its a fire you're getting water damage from the fire department. if its fire damage we remove all of the drywall completely,

if someones pipe bust and floods their house we typically just remove the first foot of drywall around the affected room so mold wont grow while the homeowner contacts a contractor.

it really depends tho

we do everything honestly.

but then i just gotta change the rugs and tapestries instead of the walls

if water sits for even a little bit it can grow on the simplest things

tile, underneath the tile, behind outlet covers, espec rugs and stuff, trust me

having your house flooded is one of the worst things that can happen to you as a homeowner or renter.

can attest to this. we had a "water backup" problem when we lost power for 12 hours during heavy rains, and i didn't have battery backup on my sump pump. we had about 2" of water throughout the basement for an hour before we got it out with a gas-powered trash pump. i had to cut out the first foot of drywall, remove all the doors and trim, tear out a staircase, and pull up all the carpet. luckily, the standing water didn't take out the furnace or water heater.

we ended up not having any mold problems, probably because we were quick to get the damaged stuff out and get the basement dry real quick. then we coated everything with kilz before building everything back up. that was a sucky summer.

yep

you got like... eh

2..3 days to get whatever part of the walls that got soaked off? it can happen quicker than that depending on temperature and how old the house is as well.

i get paid a fuck ton if i gotta suit up because of sewer or drain lines being the culprit but i haven't had the luxury of that getting that job yet. sounds good on paper but im sure im gonna hate every second of it once i get the chance.

I used to work at a wonderful 394-unit apartment & townhome complex that had THE worst plumbing ever... and every outside heater closet was full of mold. I think I'm immune to the shit at this point. We used to buy cases of spray Kilz.

...when they did me dirty I should have reported their asses but I had a couple good coworkers I didn't want to end up jeopardizing.

Top notch comeback as usual, Viper.....Since you tried it out here first, I can only assume you mean to use it on a 5th grader tomorrow and weren't confident in the burn factor.....Good news, I'm in tears over here.

i get it

you're depressed and turn to substance to cope with the fact you've been dealt bad cards

everyone has been there

most of us are still there
