She was 90-something; at the time, I was in my late 30's, and still managed to have more wrinkles than she did. The black women I know who are my contemporaries drive me nuts - we all bitch about grey hairs, saggy boobs, and middle aged pooch, but when we white chicks bitch about wrinkles, the black chicks just laugh at us. My mom didnt get wrinkles until after she was 60. I have insomnia sometimes so i worry and sometimes my eyes look ragged. Age perfect fixes me right up. My white high school friend has deep deep wrinkles in her forehead. My friend lesa has jowls. Last few months my face has been dry when im used to it being oily af. White makeup counter lady said to me years ago that cuz i had oily skin i wouldnt get wrinkles. So now that my skin is dry im deathly afraid ill wrinkle so ive been careful to keep moisturized. I also had tiny lil bumps i think from irritation? All over my forehead. Age perfect cleared them all up.

AstroCreep
How do you know it works so well if you don't have any wrinkles to start with? I may have wrinkles. I certainly should. But, i'm not really sure, other than to check if I have a huge booger hanging out of my nose, I don't look at myself very closely.

(What would have really helped would have been to quit smoking 20 or 30 years ago.) Those bitches are expensive. They're like 16 bucks a bottle but when I was taking them my hair was growing a shit ton.

I see my coworkers doing that...really...i have thought hard about it. But i have had...uhh....some troubles ...with uh...getting to the bathroom on time and my breaks are scheduled. I may just get a doctors excuse that says i have an issue and just do what will keep me healthy. Gotta wait at least until my background test is done with at work tho. You should definitely do that. It's stupid you can't use the bathroom when needed. Factory work?

katt_goddess
Have you tried exfoliating with a konjac sponge yet before toning and / or moisturizing? And it's against the law to keep people from being able to access the bathroom when they legitimately need it. Just mention 'urinary tract inf...' and your supervisor won't want to know anymore. I exfoliate with st.ives apricot scrub but ive been getting lazy and not doing it lately. Plus i hate when it gets in my hair. This cream gives me the same feel as if i did exfoliate tho. But yeah, scrubs in general tend to smear out a bit. I use the sponge thingie about once or twice a week in the shower instead but sometimes do the weird scrubs as an alternate. As long as something doesn't make your face break out, go for it. Some people end up having to try hundreds of things without ever finding something that works for them so good on you for finding something you feel does. 9 out of 10 geishas giggle politely for the konjac sponge.

I'll look into the sponge. The apricot scrub and moisturizer never got rid these tiny bumps i had my forehead. Age perfect did practically overnight. Im a little scared the bumps will come back if i do the scrub..so the sponge might be nice.

It's basically bamboo root so it's better if it hangs to dry. It'll last almost forever that way too. I put it in a little cup to soak and get soft while I deal with everything else first and then scrub my face at the end. That way, the first thing I can do out of the shower is the toners or moisturizers while my face is still fresh. Seems to help out a lot with both blemishes and wrinkles. The tiny bumps sound like milia. Harsh stuff can irritate the crap out of them because they have nowhere to go. The sponge is definitely a softer option although it sounds like the Loreal is helping out too, it's probably helping hydrate the surrounding skin so they disappear. I don't think there's a real cure for milia, just your body reabsorbing the little bastards.
MEXobiologist
I tried that and it did seem to work for a short while. Not really for wrinkles per se because I don't really have any yet but I've had dem scowl lines between my brows since I was at the end of my teens. They're not real bad but still... anyways, i stopped noticing a difference after a few months. Switched to some vitamin e oil and hyaluronic acid nightly for the last year and it's working great.
