honestly, i wish the store in savannah had waited at LEAST until next month to close.

i would have made the trip to see if i could score anything. i imagine the store looks like a trainwreck.

and empty.

the kmart in the town over closed their doors. they were even selling the end caps/shelving units.

You know, it was overpriced, but I have some fond memories of the place. I remember it's where I purchased Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on its first day. Every other store had required some bullshit preordering, and like I was supposed to have known that as a kid.

I went to one of the Vegas stores when it was closing down about a year ago. Got all kinds of goodies for cheap. Snagged several brand new games that were 40-70% off. It's also where I got my Halo Boomco (Nerf style) guns, One Punch Man poster, DBZ scouter, Amiibos, controllers, etc.

What I'm saying is go to one that's closing if you can.

Last week, my local news announced that all 170 stores will close next month, nationwide. It sucks to see it shut down. With parents buying their kids the latest cell phone and other high tech gadgets, toys are becoming more and more obsolete.

If I have enough money next month (my wallet gets pummeled, since April is mostly birthday season in my family), I want to buy more toys for my friend's son before Toys R' Us shuts down.

And also online shoppings seems to be the way to go these days

i wonder if theyll have a clearance sale so i could buy games for cheap. i dont even know how good their selection was.

The games usually dont have the same discount as the bulk of the store, but there are still some great deals. The consoles pretty much go immediately but even the newest games will go on sale so you can snag some of those.

I got Dead Rising 4 the week it came out for $30, and a Day One copy of FF XV for $25. But they will have practically all newer games unless they came out after the store started closing.

Amazon is going to buy them dirt cheap

That really wouldn't be much of a surprise, since Amazon wants to monopolize everything including grocery stores.

Now if they buy Target and Best Buy then I would say a lot of businesses are going to suffer

A lot of businesses have been suffering. Sears, K-Mart, and Sam's Club in my area already closed within the last month or so near my area and they are trying to bring another Amazon store.

Speaking of Best Buy and Target, they will be removing CD's from their stores because nobody wants to buy music anymore, either. However, they are supposedly bringing back vinyl records as an experiment.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I'm the same way.

It's like me and record stores. As much as I enjoy downloading my music nothing beats going to an actual record store and being around people and checking out various merchandise.

Yes, exactly. Last month, I also heard on my local news, that Circuit City is coming back. They didn't say when but the moment they announced it would be coming back, I got all excited. LOL! Circuit City was my store back in the day.

Unlike Best Buy, the clerks at Circuit City were actually helpful. Even though I have some fond memories of buying CD's at Best Buy, I still have much better memories of buying CD's and electronics from Circuit City.

It sucks to see so many stores closing. In a way, I can understand why the stores near me are closing. There have been a lot of robberies reported in the last year or so. Then, the fact that you have those who are too scared or lazy to physically go to the store and shop doesn't help any.

You spend more money shopping online with shipping and handling than physically going to the store and buying it up front. I can understand if you can only buy that specific product online, but if it's already at the physical store, going there to buy it is much cheaper and faster.
