I haven't heard much mockery for pumping their own gas, but I have seen mockery
for the few folks who really, really couldn't figure it out.
And just like anything that goes viral, buffoonery is more popular and fun to witness
than fitting in and figuring out how to do what almost everybody else knows how to do.

when I got my first car, I let the gas overflow out of the tank and down the side of the car. So for the rest of that beautiful summer day I kept thinking it was going to get so hot the gas I spilled would catch fire and the whole car would blow up lmao

Sorry. The fact that you guys freaked the fuck out over DOING SOMETHING YOURSELVES that most of us already do just fucking tickles me. Fuck, in Texas, if there's full service station, you're lucky to be alive in it, because we pump our own fucking gas.
