My house. I guess I could of specified that..  on my vehicle to renew my registration I'll probably need to

pay a similular amount as you on top of this shit.. I have a friend that's gonna rent a room from me starting

next year so maybe that'll soften the blow. :S

damn....well in regards to the house that doesnt seem bad. our house was built in the 50s and the property tax is $400 something. i used to pay it years ago (before i moved here) but they let me do a payment plan. now you have to pay it all at once. fuckers.

Man this is a fucking single family rent house with one bath 2 bedrooms.. 1040 property tax because it's

in a freaking ritzy looking neighborhood I guess.. The property tax wont be bad when I get the mortgage

paid, but I still have a long way to go, and my income has sucked this whole effing year.

$1040 is actually pretty decent for a house. then again, i'm in a state with some of the highest property tax rates.

The bank told me something like "it's not that bad, but it does seem kind of high for the area"

I'm only tripping because this year will be my first time having to make the payment out of pocket.

if you think the property taxes are too high, you can always go to the county treasurer's office and request to have the property reassessed. if the assessment comes back lower, your taxes will go down. of course, the assessed value could go up too, which would increase your tax.

How recently made is the car? That's fucking insane! I'm still driving the 2000 Chevy Metro that I got two years ago and it's nowhere near that amount.

As far as i know they work the insurance premiums out on how many accidents that particular model has been in.. I own 2  fpv Factory (Ford performance vehicle)  pick ups.. they both are nearly identical to look at ..but one is a pov pack version and the other is the performance upgrade version.. a pursuit  (not as commonly sold) .. number 2 has bigger brakes.. factory flare kit..3in exhaust standard, extra 20 kilowatt motor etc..sooo what seems to be becoming a long story.. the pov pack one even though it has less HP and would cost less to repair is actually dearer one to insure.. by 180 bucks

Well I don’t deserve the attitude I was just adding to the conversation...I wasn’t criticizing you...

No, if this moron thinks ANYONE pays a G on tags and registration, she deserves the criticism.

I own a 2003 Crown Vic and a 2016 Kia Soul

Cheapest I can find if you pay it all at once for the year is a little over double that and my record is pretty clean, no accidents, and I drive an old piece of shit

We had a pretty in depth car insurance thread in Rants not too long ago, turns out prices vary pretty wildly for no discernible reason.

See this I knew...I had (ok....give me a break ok...) the general auto and I went from $180 to over $300...just because of where I live...and I had been with them for 5 years...they don’t give a shit and they couldn’t answer me when I demanded to know why....so I went to progressive and used that snap shot shit....my renewal is 225 but my payments are back down to 200...so I’m getting closer to cheaper fucking payment

High risk activity? How'd the subject get to insurance.. That would suck if vehicle taxes reflected that lol..

Not that I have a bad driving record.

High risk activity does cause your insurance to go up. Not just health insurance. Car insurance, as well. In your area, too.

I have free health insurance and decent insurance I just forgot that someone brought up insurance,

and thought you were trying to say her property taxes must be going up because of it for a sec.

I'm on the same page now though.. wreckless drivers would be totally screwed if taxes themselves

went up because of that is all I was saying.
