Apparently I've had an ear infection, sinus infection and tonsil infection and it took me getting the flu to find out.

Tussionex got me floating and antibiotics doing the work.

WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS GETTING SICK???

Probably because living with chronic pain all my life has led me to ignore the signals my body gives me until something is really fucked up.

I got the flu shot lol.

It doesn't really matter when there's 20 new strains of the flu every year.

it really depends on when you got the flu shot...if you were already exposed to someone with the flu it's too late...it can take weeks to gestate long enough to affect you...making the flu shot useless or potentially making was is going on worse

The flu shot only protects against 3 strains; each year, the CDC makes projections on what strains will be most prevalent (based on what strains have been most prevalent in the southern hemisphere during their winter). There are usually about a dozen strains out there wandering around, and, depending on if the CDC spun the Wheel of Pestilence right, you may be covered, or you may not be. Personally, I've never really noticed any kind of correlation between getting the flu shot or not getting it, and getting the flu or not getting it.

they also have the quad shot...so it's not always just 3...me personally I don't believe in flu shots...but the number of people wth flu is drastically lower

knock on wood. i havent been seriously ill in years. not sure why. maybe cuz i cant afford to, i take zicam, and i bathe myself in the positive healing light of the benevolent creator.

Yeah, that's how I am. The only problem is, when I do get sick, it makes up for all those years of not being sick.
