Rogue_Alphonse Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 In Southeast PA, Mega Fries are awesome fries, with three cheeses and bacon all in a big dish. New England's version is a bowl of nacho cheese, with some fries in it and bacon bits sprinkled on top.
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 What is Pennsylvania? Mid-Atlantic? It sure is.
SnapItCrackItPopIt Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 It sure is. Really? Doesn't seem like it. Delaware? Yes. New Jersey? Yes. Even NYC? Yes, but Pennsylvania? It just doesn't have that Mid-Atlantic feel...
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 That's because if you get to far from Philly you end up in Alabama until you hit Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania is weird like that.
Rogue_Alphonse Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 What is Pennsylvania? Mid-Atlantic? I'd call it that, I mean my stepdad works at a marina on the Chesapeake and lives in PA... so it's close enough.
Rogue_Alphonse Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 I'd still eat that. I am. Because I am fat.
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 It is in the Mid Atlantic region with Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and DC. So, that's a thing you know now.
Rogue_Alphonse Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 That's because if you get to far from Philly you end up in Alabama until you hit Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania is weird like that. This. Philly and about 70 miles in any direction is still mid-atlantic or at least tourist-ey. After that is is hillbillies who think it's the south until an entire city of coal miners pops up.
Rogue_Alphonse Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 It is in the Mid Atlantic region with Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and DC. So, that's a thing you know now. According to lupin_bebop[/member] , PA and north is New England though.
SnapItCrackItPopIt Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 I've been to Pittsburgh, but I have never been to Philly. Maybe that's the reason why it feels odd to me, lol.
Cau Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 According to lupin_bebop[/member] , PA and north is New England though. I mean, I've seen some things say it's in the midwest. S:
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 According to lupin_bebop[/member] , PA and north is New England though. That's because he is an idiot.
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 I've been to Pittsburgh, but I have never been to Philly. Maybe that's the reason why it feels odd to me, lol. That could be it, although I have never been to Pittsburgh so I can't say for sure how different it might feel.
Rogue_Alphonse Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 That could be it, although I have never been to Pittsburgh so I can't say for sure how different it might feel. Pittsburgh is basically fucking Ohio. It's a whole different world.
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Pittsburgh is basically fucking Ohio. It's a whole different world. Don't say that to anyone from Pittsburgh or Ohio.
Rogue_Alphonse Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 Don't say that to anyone from Pittsburgh or Ohio. I know. >
SnapItCrackItPopIt Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 That could be it, although I have never been to Pittsburgh so I can't say for sure how different it might feel. Pittsburgh definitely has that rust belt feel to it. It doesn't have that typical east coast city life feel. I think someone from the Midwest could blend in better there than someone from Philly. I have neighbors from Philly and from the way they have describe it, it sounds like your typical east coast major city.
Naraku4656 Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 NJ, NY, and Connecticut are mid atlantic. New England thinks their farts smell better than anyone else's.. us Tri-State area folks are far more refined
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 I definitely like Philly more than say New York. Mainly because it is a 30 minute drive to Philly and a 2 and a half hour drive to New York. And North Jersey traffic sucks.
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Connecticut is in New England. It is not in the Mid Atlantic region.

You mean ALL of NJ drivers. also Naraku4656[/member] New England STARTS with CT.
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 No, I mean drivers in North Jersey who are usually from out of state.
Top Gun Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 I live in southeast PA and have never heard of "mega fries" as a specific entity. My arteries are hardening just reading about them though.
mochi Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 when you go to another state you have to get used to the food there you wouldn't think food would be totally different from state to state, but it is
lupin_bebop Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 According to lupin_bebop[/member] , PA and north is New England though. Motherf........You KNOW that’s what they colonized them as, right? I’m NOT wrong.
stilgar Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Motherf........You KNOW that’s what they colonized them as, right? I’m NOT wrong. You are wrong. NJ, NY, PA, DE, VA, WV, and MD were never a part of New England.

Rogue_Alphonse Posted October 7, 2017 Author Posted October 7, 2017 You are wrong. NJ, NY, PA, DE, VA, WV, and MD were never a part of New England. It's true though. Like uneducated people who think the Mason-Dixon line is in like South Carolina or some dumb shit. Nope, it's in Maryland. There is even a junkyard named after it.
