Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 Go outside i can't. the oven is on and i can't turn it off for a couple of hours. plus it's hotter outside
Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 Turn on the A/C Oh wait ur poor can't, it'll recirculate the smoke from the oven cleaning itself
GunStarHero Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 We've been in the 110s down here for a couple weeks. On top of that I'm surrounded by ovens, stoves, grills, and kettles all day. So shush.
Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 because tomorrow and the next day are going to be just as hot
Swimmod_Luna Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 can't, it'll recirculate the smoke from the oven cleaning itself Why in the fuck are you running the self-clean cycle in the middle of summer. You realize that shit gets up to like, 1000 degrees. The fuck is wrong with you.
quebecelegy Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 why didn't you buy one of those mist sprayers for your face before this
Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 Why in the fuck are you running the self-clean cycle in the middle of summer. You realize that shit gets up to like, 1000 degrees. The fuck is wrong with you. because i tried to cook yesterday and my oven starting smoking like crazy, meaning it needs to be cleaned. i need to use my oven on the 4th to cook things, i don't have a grill, and tomorrow is going to be hotter than today. what were my options here? let the oven smoke consume the entire house?
Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 why didn't you buy one of those mist sprayers for your face before this that is a very good question and i didn't even think of that
Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 Its 80 in mine. Im not wearing any pants. i'm afraid if i don't wear any, my butt will carry this chair down the flight of stairs to check on my oven
Swimmod_Luna Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 because i tried to cook yesterday and my oven starting smoking like crazy, meaning it needs to be cleaned. i need to use my oven on the 4th to cook things, i don't have a grill, and tomorrow is going to be hotter than today. what were my options here? let the oven smoke consume the entire house? Leave the house while it's running or something.
Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 Leave the house while it's running or something. because leaving the house with a gas oven running couldn't possibly go wrong
Swimmod_Luna Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 because leaving the house with a gas oven running couldn't possibly go wrong I went back to my old apartment to clean and left the place with the oven running on self clean. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Shit can produce carbon monoxide hope u have a detector.
Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 i would post a picture of how miserable i am right now but it would mean putting a picture of my face on this forum and i don't trust any of you weirdos
Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 I went back to my old apartment to clean and left the place with the oven running on self clean. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Shit can produce carbon monoxide hope u have a detector. i have a detector about 5 feet away from the oven. i have all of my windows open on the kitchen level and the master bedroom level with the microwave fan running at full speed. so i think i'm ok. plus it's been running for about 3 hours now, so if i was going to pass out from monoxide inhalation i probably already would have
Satou Kazuma Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 i would post a picture of how miserable i am right now but it would mean putting a picture of my face on this forum and i don't trust any of you weirdos Sorry, I'm not mochi.
quebecelegy Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 that is a very good question and i didn't even think of that you have to buy me one now
Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 you have to buy me one now i've got about another 50ish minutes until it goes into cool down mode. at that point i can turn back on the ac. i'll have to turn it on in spurts though because i don't know if my AC unit can take a straight shot from 88 to 72. will probably go from 88 to 82, wait an hour, and then from 82 to 76 and so forth
DragonSinger Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 because i tried to cook yesterday and my oven starting smoking like crazy, meaning it needs to be cleaned. i need to use my oven on the 4th to cook things, i don't have a grill, and tomorrow is going to be hotter than today. what were my options here? let the oven smoke consume the entire house? You don't have any popsicles, ice cream, or drinks you can throw in the freezer?

Naraku4656 Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 You don't have any popsicles, ice cream, or drinks you can throw in the freezer? no, no, and yes

Still Me Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 its 92 outside, 70 inside....I'm laying in bed snuggled under the covers, petting my cat, watching impractical jokers
Still Me Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 ya know now that I've read the thread...why the fuck would you not clean it yourself....it's not hard...degreaser and water with baking soda....spray that shit in there...let it sit for like 10 min, and wipe it away with a sponge...I don't believe in "self cleaning" ovens...
Still Me Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 laziness also it did clean the oven ish so then you have no reason to complain....you knew the repercussion...yet did it anyways....you're problem
Naraku4656 Posted July 3, 2017 Author Posted July 3, 2017 so then you have no reason to complain....you knew the repercussion...yet did it anyways....you're problem not really. i've done the scrub method before and it takes a long ass time and a lot of scrubbing. self clean took me maybe 10 minutes after the oven was cooled off
Ric Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 It's been 74-78 in here. Only had to run the oven for a half hour though.
1938 Packard Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 OH MY GOD, I WANT IT TO STOP My place is a mixed bag. Almost ninety in the kitchen, without the oven. Seventy two in the bedrooms and living room.
