  1. It looks cool. I’ve always found Bill Watterson’s original to be melancholic, so maybe not as eager for this, but just from that it seems fairly lighthearted.
  2. Is that even possible? If so, it would be the second biggest accomplishment in Matt Gaetz’s career.
  3. I can vouch for how liberating it can be. Who needs a paramour when your chair and your left hand can take you wherever you want to go?
  4. Were you jerking off before you fell asleep?
  5. Other than the oppressive heat, I like Arizona alright. Stay away from Havasu, though: All the racist California rednecks hang out there.
  6. I bought booze for George Clinton one time.
  7. It is, though nothing like any state from the confederacy. Conservatism is in pockets and idiots like this and Lake exploit it, but the governor is a democrat (as well as their one function Senator) and they don’t have a supermajority in the state legislature. Arizona isn’t likely to become a conservative utopia, but it also isn’t likely to stand up for progressive causes and women’s rights either.
  8. Most conservative movements end up that way, just as most progressive movements end up being taken over by conservatives.
  9. Honesty is always appreciated.
  10. She won’t. Hyper polarization has really created two countries in one. Republicans and their states have “earned” the right to self determination while liberal states can’t be trusted to take care of themselves. It’s the pretext for their blatant hypocrisy and how they compartmentalize in such a political space. You bet she’ll sue the state as soon as California decides it isn’t interested in extraditing a woman accused of killing the stillborn child she nearly died giving birth to.
  11. She can be involved with 10minutes notice and maybe a little pick me up iyknwim.
  12. He literally stabbed twice the number of women in Arizona as he has in NYC. It looks like she's grandstanding to cover the fact she wants to try him first before having to turn him over to New York to complete their investigation. She's clearly too stupid to understand what this is going to mean when she tries to get someone extradited from, say, Califronia.
  13. I've found cannonballs have the lightest impact on your back.
  14. He's probably the most famous example of the managerial style you're talking about. He's a legend for his creation of Motown Records, where he showcased his ability to identify / culture talent and produce iconic music, but he's also somewhat infamous for how his heavy influence homogenized the R&B sound. It's thanks to him, the less talented Diana Ross was elevated to top billing of the Supremes and ensuing questionable solo career. Also, it's thanks to him we have the one and only single anyone has ever heard by Rockwell.
  15. Apparently he’s been antisemitic for quite some time, if his former bandmates are to be believed.
  16. Man, haven’t you been to the pool before? That why you jump in quick and stand up right away so you can pee into your freshly moistened pants. Then when this ten year old comes up and makes a face you loudly ask no one in particular “Why’s the pool water so warm?”
  17. You should probably wear swim trunks so they don’t see your dick hose.
  18. I would think chlorine in your cooch would be real bad.
  19. Why does it matter that the yahoos who do not have nukes and CSGs want civil war?
  20. Then don't give any credence to far right demagoguery. The last time Trump didn't win an election, an insurrection ended up costing hundreds of idiots like that a trip to the fed pen - it's not like people who refuse to acknowledge the legal function of government are given some kind of free pass. Think for a minute what happens if there were to be secession in this day: Where is the line of demarcation between those who are for and against an insurrection? Who will control the military if such a fight were to break out? Who would have the stable economies in those situations? Who would control the major ports and points of entry? Who would hold standing with foreign nations? Ghosty, you're a smart guy. You know who is pushing for civil strife and who isn't. Of those two groups, who do you really think is the stronger?
  21. Well Godzilla needs to giver her a good spanking.
  22. Are we talking like the shady side in structural dynamics that allow abusers to victimize the talent in any given label or are we talking labels that themselves are specifically fronts for exploitation? It's kind of a broad topic simply because exploitation is somewhat distinct from abuse in that they're not mutually exclusive but they're still independent systems. This thread reminds me of that whole Rebecca Black / ARK Music thing in how naked commercialization of the the creative process (as opposed to distribution) exposed a lot of people to a side of the industry that rarely gets seen. Talent managers run amok is easy villain fodder for literary and screenwriters, but the reality is far less personal. Labels regularly manipulate the creative process in a way that divorces them from any responsibility for the product while still giving the power over the creative process to benefit sales, a good example being Chris Brown.
  23. That little brat.
  24. That comes with it. It's only natural to be angry when you're mistreated for something you have no control over, and depression is a logical conclusion of enduring that over a long period of time. The thing is that, even with neurotypical people, the tendency is to recoil from confronting abuse and letting that depression alter your neural function. If you keep on this path, ghosty, you really will become mentally ill.
