  1. No, I don't think so. God forbid Trump regains the presidency, whatever is in these emails will likely pale in comparison to any of the potential gaffes. The thing about Trump is that neither he nor his supporters are a mystery - we know who they are and what they stand for. Even his increasingly erratic behavior is a known element. The possible gains from what is almost certainly botched and incomplete candidate qualifications is negligible in comparison to just about anything else, and blunted by the universal understanding that Trump picked Vance because he's an obvious toady. Those memoirs place a premium on unique interactions, not something released albeit in a clandestine manner to multiple outlets. If this leak makes it into any memoirs, it will be because at least one of the reporters covering the leak has a personal relationship with the unidentified leaker.
  2. @Doom Metal Alchemist: don't forget to wear fatigues and combat boots.
  3. In all seriousness, JD Vance has all the makings of a future political puppet. It was one of the huge knocks on Pence, so it's no surprise that Trump would choose an equally weak replacement - and it's why Vance's past criticism of Trump is a feature rather than an anomaly. Trump isn't just sending a message that he expects his running mate to be loyal to him like Pence was, he wants the VP to also be disloyal to the party establishment. A guy as spineless as Vance who would publicly denigrate Trump just to get attention in the party is actually the perfect guy to flip because he has no convictions of his own. That also means Vance, in a Trump vacuum, will end up being the puppet not of the relatively stable GOP establishment, but of the fringe right elements that can promise Vance undying support.
  4. From inside your link, I guess Trump's lisp was really noticeable. For all the talk of Biden's campaign covering up medical issues that might preclude him from having another four years, there should be talk of Trump's campaign covering up medical issues that might mean a more imminent and severe incapacitation.
  5. Or there isn't anything exciting in them. Newspapers, no matter who owns them, aren't going to sit on something that will get looks from their paying audience. That being said, the information in them will be relevant at some point and they'll magically reappear.
  6. My brother had a surprising take - he thought she should let her freak flag fly. I’m still of the camp that breaking should be treated like a language, and the fact that she didn’t score any points kind of makes it like she’s speaking gibberish.
  7. No kidding. Her untimely death really sheds a light in the unsettling increase in cancer in this age range. I’m finally getting a checkup just because of this.
  8. Hearing 40 somethings lose to cancer really fuck me up.
  9. There's this Raley's in Lake Tahoe that used to have a nut grinder, and it actually produced a really good fresh peanut butter. It disappeared after the most recent remodel. Only place I ever saw that had it until Whole Foods showed up.
  10. I mean, my name isn’t “gym” either, and “scoobnastics” sounds like something you’ld find on Motherless.
  11. That’s an idea.
  12. Yeah, she’s mocking us. It’s like New York’s best pastime.
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. I was today years old when my dumb white ass found out that it's called breaking and its apparently offensive to call it breakdancing because marketers or something.
  15. Also.. now you have to do it too. I mean, who's a more abusive bitch than Donald Trump?
  16. I love her too. She's fucking out there and her whole schtick is strange to be strange, but that's kind of a fun contrast to the pretentious pop princesses performing in the same space. Plus, the way she intones "shit" makes me think she could make 2 girls 1 cup mildly attractive.
  17. Just wait until you hear Lana's cover of Sublime's "Doin' Time"
  18. My NaMe Is ScOoBhOg and I approve .... this message? It's really hard to get Trump's demential addled cadence right, you know?
  19. You need to stop feeding your pet pig coke.
  20. Just call her Johanna Dangerously.
  21. I got DQd because I accidentally slapped a dude in the face making the turn. I know he bitching because he jealous of my speed.
  22. If you’re going to miss out on a medal, it better be because your dick is too big.
  23. You really want to see naked dudes, don't you? Here you go...
  24. Yeah... when it was a bunch of battle scarred dudes.
  25. Not to pile on, but directly addressing the content - this dude sounds like the shameless self-promoter who's typically waiting in the wings of the command structure. In general, a 24 year service member doesn't just retire on his own terms - he or she is usually encouraged to leave at that point if they've maxed out their promotions and, more importantly, if a younger subordinate is in position and qualified to take command. Tim didn't leave his unit in the lurch, he left with this guy ready to take over the post and achieve the E-9 rank. That he's choosing to bad mouth a former superior is bad form, especially in the context, but it's also not unheard of given the political nature within the chain of command. However, calling it "stolen valor" means this guy is indirectly and without evidence, suggesting Walz was an incompetent superior NCO and shamelessly using his veteran status to give the unfounded claims legitimacy. So.... Yes, it is fake news. It's very clearly misrepresenting someone's service in the guise of being informational while disguising a personal animus and not providing any concrete evidence of malfeasance.
