I think where we might diverge is the degree to which Joe has a succession plan in place. You seem to be suggesting that he's only mollifying that group when I tend to think he has something more concrete in place as a backstop. The way the narrative is lingering tells me that its beyond any slight-of-hand.

I think that's the most likely scenario as well. It's strange how the calls for Biden to step aside are sporadic and piecemeal.
