Elon Musk now owns Twitter, apparently trying to run it into the ground

It probably is something they can accomplish elsewhere given the same resources. The obvious correlation is that people who exploit inherent advantages built into a system succeed. People born into wealth have resources that people who are born into poverty don’t which they can use to gain leverage. The system itself isn’t a factor. -
Bragg is certainly more liberal leaning. He could well be intentionally sabotaging his own case to own the Feds. If the terrorism charge opens up a can of worms, the Feds almost certainly will be caught holding the bag when their case follows the state’s.

I was going to go there, but you already explained it. i just want a relaxing and safe holiday.

I figured that was the purpose of the terrorism charge and the Federal government getting involved. The only reason the death penalty is a thing is because prosecutors need leverage to get a guilty plea. It’s always possible that waiting out the clock on a trial allows public sentiment to turn against Luigi, but that’s a huge gamble given how pervasive sympathy is for anyone who’s ever suffered at the hands of health care. It’s more likely they’re talking death off the board when the trial happens and after the defense refuses any kind of plea bargain. The last thing anyone wants is a martyr. Still, it does suggest they’re scrambling. A trial is going to be a PR disaster for the industry: there’s no way to make it not about a grievance on his standard of care. It’s going to open the industry up to even more resentment and, in particular, make investments more toxic than they are now. Futile as it may be there’s going to be a concerted effort to get him to plead out and avoid a trial.

Usually, people who admit they work hard and play that hard are just about to say they ate the snow just that one time. That’s the way to get ahead of things for sure.

@Raptorpat, @Insipid…. Can we agree that the polls in this particular situation are irrelevant? It doesn’t matter if people in any age group think murdering the CEO is “acceptable” because two diametrically opposed truths can exist simultaneously. It’s objectively and absolutely true that murder is unacceptable both socially and legally. It’s also objectively and absolutely true that every single person who is called to a jury pool has a vested interest in the aftermath of the murder which is, by definition, an inherent bias toward the ramifications of said murder. Asking whether the murder is an “acceptable “ response begs an answer that precludes viable legal off-ramps like self-defense and insanity that can be skewed by the other objective truth.

I don't really know how you get an aging quarterback to perform and then willingly step aside except for paying out the nose for him. -
Even the Mexican food we get here is different than what you would get in Mexico, but it tends to not be cheese heavy simply because what we think of as Mexican food is a heavy blend of Spanish influence, Mexican influences and the local indigenous foods. That's not to say there isn't still a lot of cheese, it's just not deployed so liberally across every dish like in Tex Mex.

Puff Daddy targeted by Homeland Security in sex trafficking investigation

There was nothing "shady" about the UEMB - the same people that had been posting for over a decade on ASMB were in the UEMB, including our favorite racist shit stains who, for the most part, endured an endless barrage of mockery and ridicule. If you want to suggest there was a severe problem, it wasn't from something like bigotry or hate but it could be argued that there were one or two bullies. -

I do remember something to the effect of there being a link to some kind of social media place, but it didn’t link to Reddit or this place (well its predecessor). I only found out about this place because Luuv directly contacted me. -
It’s not really a running gag. It’s a deliberate story frame they use for every school shooting, right down to phrasing and quotes. It’s more like a grim ritual to denote the tragedy, akin to a bugler playing Taps.

SHe's not though, and she didn't get to where she is by being a good person so its absurd to suggest she's a national treasure. That's just what celebrity is. At the same time, the suggestion that she has some taint over whatever he husband purportedly did is rooted in history of misogyny. The ominous spectre of Lady Macbeth, which was even in the time of Shakespeare's writing an insidious and craven attempt to delegitimatize females in power, is its own special kind of abuse that you're perpetrating by pushing the narrative of her having indirect responsibility for what Jay Z did. She certainly does deserve to have her inviolate persona dinged, but only for what she herself did to become a celebrity and what she does now to boost her own profile. -
Believe it or not, I don't necessarily need cheese on my tacos either. I think Mexican street tacos usually have cotija on them, but shredded Jack or American kind of makes the taco greasy. It's all about the salsa.

I don't typically scroll ebay for lithium ion firebombs. Regardless, your craptacular photo no longer belongs to you, it belongs to the internet, in perpetuity. AI could be stealing it as we speak!
-
Sure I did. I found it right here. On the UEMB… …which is on the internet.
-
It’s so stupid I don’t really care what it is.
