First of all, NYPost is a rag and, par for the course, that article was devoid of any concrete assertions beyond a vague timeline. Second: you can’t compare an obvious biased research trial paid for by a trade group with a research paper responding directly to an unsubstantiated theory. For one thing, an experienced and accomplished epidemiologist like Dr Fauci has little to no vested interest in falsely disproving a potential viral source while a trade group is, in fact, paid handsomely to disprove negative or damaging trial results. For another, the idea that the virus most likely came from a market goes all the way back to its initial reporting in 2019. The aforementioned study was initiated at least three or four months after the virus was identified and long after epidemiologists had a chance to research the plausibility of alternative sources. Instead, research was instigated immediately after the “lab leak” conspiracy began making the rounds in conservative circles. A more logical and reasonable conclusion is that such a study would be necessary not to disprove the likelihood of the lab created virus being accidentally leaked but to uncover the likely sources of that particularly heinous conspiracy. …. That is to say- like you said, studies can exist specifically to disprove or approve something, but that doesn’t mean they are expressly biased.

I’ll collect the various rules, codify them and then let you guys tell me what you would like to amend.

Nah, it looks like Buddy doesn't have the "Show Results" Button, so it's a different site wide permission of some sort.

The only other possible explanation is that I have an overarching sitewide permission that takes precedence. @katt_goddess: can you see who voted for what without editing the post? (Of course, that would mean Pooh should theoretically be able to do what I can do)
