When the titles were announced, I figured Progressive would be a sequel and Alternative would be an... alternate universe. Progressive is most definitely a sequel given that a character is implied to be Amarao's son. I don't know enough about Alternative, yet, though. For all I know the middle-aged man is Ide. Although, I haven't seen/read any interviews, so I don't know if there's official word on them or not.
