My issue is that you're pretending like Trump's comment exists in a vacuum. "Trump is totally right here, but I'm purposely leaving out the context of what 'peaceful negotiations' really means to the person saying it." As for the rest, I'm sure this is my naivete speaking, but I'd much rather help Ukraine, and that is how I see it personally, than allow Russia to invade them and set a precedent that it's okay for them to do so as long as they make up some excuse to justify it. If supplying Ukraine to help them fight off an invasion doubles as furthering American imperialism, then call me a imperialist dog or whatever, I don't really care. A peaceful negotiation would be great. It would've been better before Russia decided to annex parts of Ukraine. It also would've been better before they, you know, invaded Ukraine because they felt like it. We've already been over what that would look like. As far as I'm concerned, the only acceptable conditions for Ukraine would end with Russia giving up the territory they annexed, and I don't see Putin ever doing that and looking weak, despite Russia losing more ground by the day, anyway.

Like, say, if they suggested nuking a hurricane. And you could've easily said, "He's not coming from an honest place," but you chose not to. So either you purposely left it out (disingenuous) or you didn't include it because you think he's being honest (gullible).

You're agreeing with a guy that wanted to nuke a hurricane, and who knows what else. He's suddenly against them because he's not the one aiming them. Plus you're completely ignoring his admiration of Putin and the finances he has tied up there, it's no wonder he's calling for a "peaceful negotiation," which I'm sure in his mind is an actual compromise and not just giving Putin everything he wants. I know people call you disingenuous a lot, but it's either that or you're the most gullible guy here.
