  1. the only other option would be losing time-slots if they can't get new content and I Doubt anyone here wants a shorter toonami that barely feels like it's just started by the time it's over
  2. Not So Sure If One Piece Being On Earlier would do much though it's always been one of those shows that really intimidates newcomers
  3. why does it always feel like netflix is desperately trying to seem cool with the anime crowd while saying "How Do You Do Fellow Otaku's? I Sure Do Love me some pocky pocky sticks!"
  4. is this the first time they've premiered anything new on thursday? I can't remember the last time this happened seems like it's been so long since sunday became the default day for premieres and it also seems like they are moving away from more than one show airing new episodes on the same day not sure how i feel about that
  5. Thursday seems quite random seeing as sunday is the day they always want to premiere new episodes of [AS] Originals outside toonami
  6. I Wish we could have gotten this kind of action before things got so rough for the block.... seeing promo's during AEW right now while we're expecting a time slot cut just seems weird to me
  7. at this point it's probably a time slot cut....i was really wanting some positive toonami news soon but it's looking more and more like the block's not getting anything after AC's last episode this saturday
  8. MHA S6 Fire Force S3 and Dr Stone S3 are less certain because those would require them to work with crunchyroll something I'm not sure is even possible because that requires sony to come to the table and since they control so much of the anime distribution market i can see them declining and i agree toonami's in for a rough patch when it comes to pick up's especially since there's only so many originals they can air in a year and they have a limited amount of reruns they can actually air without needing a new contract to be written up so reruns could only buy them time for so long before they run out of reruns they still have the rights to air on television
  9. i don't think they'll be doubling up primal as that would require them to replace it sooner and given how things are with toonami right now a replacement isn't guaranteed this is the most uncertain time for the block and nobody knows what they can or can't acquire anymore which means moving forward it's just gonna be pointless fan speculation that leads to nowhere if the show never airs because without full confirmation that it's not gonna happen You'll have people shouting "Any Day now this show will be on the block!" Yashahime S2 might be coming or it might not that's how uncertain and bizarre things are right now what were once guaranteed shows might be tied up in crap that toonami doesn't want to deal with or can't deal with
  10. i don't think WB/Discovery is gonna allow them to touch any dc shows unless they need to promote something i don't see that changing anytime soon so it's all on viz/sentai really
  11. yeah I've noticed that some people were banking on a time slot being cut ever since that schedule promo used the time and the silence around AC's replacement has made them very confident that's gonna happen the person in question responded "if the upcoming schedule is trash on top of this tweet' we don't have much to speculate on it's simply not going to improve" they've been shouting that toonami's on its last leg without Crunchyroll and that they can't even depend on Sentai due to the mystery around the amc buy-out so if a time slot cut is announced they'll tweet that the block is dead and we're all wasting our time thinking otherwise everything lately just seems to be giving them the idea that they were right all along and everyone else was an idiot who just couldn't see the truth
  12. not looking forward to the schedule announcement because i just know it's gonna be something that gives people like this more fuel and makes them feel justified in screaming at jason demarco everyday on twitter
  13. it's unfortunate this show can never be on toonami due to crunchyroll as i think it would fit the block quite well
  14. pretty much...it'd be like promoting one piece with ennies lobby footage
  15. people make death threats over someone developing a video game they thought was poorly made so how's this any stranger? when someone's life is so terrible that they can only gain satisfaction from making everyone else miserable they'll make threats about anything and try to play it off as legit even though it's all an act to bring everyone else down to they're level and make them feel just as shitty as they do on a daily basis probably common enough for him to become less transparent about his work moving forward i doubt it's just because some people said he was doing a bad job...He's been getting those kind of tweets for years now and he never decided to talk less about the inner workings of toonami over it so there's something more to this than simply the average negative comments we're using to seeing or hearing about whatever the case maybe...moving forward we're on our own in terms of speculation we won't know what toonami can or can't get because demarco is done with providing us those details one thing i will say is that this tweet chain coming out shortly before a new schedule announcement is depressing as it feels like we might be losing a time slot and not getting anything if demarco's already acting like this
  16. He Just got tired of random people screaming at him 24/7 and no doubt sending him death threats for stupid reasons now's not the time to be acting like an asshole and shit-posting if you think it is then you are dead wrong
  17. unfortunately this is becoming all too common online and if nothing's done about this then eventually nobody will want to interact with the fans online if they keep spamming them with hate messages and screaming at them 24/7 i blame everyone who probably sent death threats to demarco or called him every insult in the book on a daily basis and sent it to his twitter they ruined a good thing for everyone else and i don't think the people who flooded him with threats and insults realize that they didn't know how good of a thing we truly had with him being so transparent
  18. i suppose this does put a dumper on those rumors of AS/Toonami being shutdown by next year(Why bother promoting it outside adultswim if there's already plans in place to remove adultswim from television) although this commercial still seems weird because as many have already mentioned before it's using Pain Story footage episodes that toonami no longer has the rights for(Meaning if people tuned in expecting those episodes they'd be confused)
  19. also every time cartoon network gets an extra hour they proceed to do nothing except spam the same shows they usually do there's no way they'd be able to fill 24 hours every single day without digging into the backlog and that's something they don't seem interested in doing
  20. and.....AC concludes next week still without a replacement announced even the most optimistic toonami fans aren't expecting much at this point
  21. I'm not assuming they still have the rights to everything they've ever aired i know they don't but options are very limited now and if sentai's off the table(depending on what amc's plans are for them)then that would leave just viz media as a toonami partner we already know crunchyroll content is most likely off limits no matter what it is viz media's always been a reliable source of content for the block but given how uncertain things are in this new streaming age I'm not sure if things will continue as usual or be different between them and toonami reruns are something i don't like thinking about leading the block....however if they have no other choice then i can't blame them if it's the route they take
  22. although the AEW Thread Here isn't doing any better than this one is this site just for shit posting now?
  23. i haven't bothered thinking about harley quin or young justice on the block because i know WB would never allow that to happen....they acknowledge toonami when they need something to be promoted and then they go back to not giving them anything with the door closed on crunchyroll titles DC Titles being available only for special purposes and sentai's status being unknown due to the amc buy-out that doesn't leave them with many options to fill the block moving forward there's only so many originals they can pump out in a year and solely relying on viz wouldn't get them anywhere
  24. jeez this thread's pretty dead.... anyone here care that much about wwe anymore?
