  1. WCW Never aired on cartoon network so I'm not sure why anyone thinks AEW Would air on toonami realistically there's only a couple explanations for this schedule 1.using primal S1 to lead into S2 2.they are trying to work out a deal for some crunchyroll content and negotiations are taking longer than they expected and Primal S1 is only being used to stall until the deal is finalized 3.same case as above but with sentai content(although I doubt that would be as much trouble acquiring as Anything they'd have to talk to sony about) I Have a hard time believing they weren't even trying to get anything and they have nothing at all to give us right now....so sony being stubborn hardasses and making contract agreements a pain in the ass seems likely
  2. i don't know why anyone here keeps mentioning AEW like it's something that could be added to toonami in the united states.... it's not....
  3. people might say people won't believe demarco if he says anything about this on twitter however i don't think staying quiet is much better since leading the block with a rerun is never a good idea and two shows concluding with no replacements is sure to leave a sour taste in many fans mouths the current stuff going on as a result of the merger with discovery adds to fan curiosity and i think it's best to de-spell such thoughts rather than let them spread
  4. it's sad that the correct answer to this was....Nothing New and Primal S1 Reruns which means everyone who took a guess was wrong
  5. I really hope it doesn't come to that because then it just screams "2008 Toonami" and i think saturdays are better reserved for toonami than just another night for adultswim comedies since most of those don't have enough episodes to air consistently and it would get just as stale as them airing rick and morty all the time i like seeing the community react to episodes and talk about them....if it went down to just an hour of one piece a classic rerun and some original series then i don't think it'll be the same
  6. Yeah I Can't really see how they can treat this as positive news....as you said this line up looks like crap and leading off with a rerun is never a good idea they really need to damage control this announcement and quick because telling everyone "Guess what no new shows and the leader of the block is a rerun" does not inspire confidence
  7. yeah it's true i think i recall a tweet where he confirmed it recently
  8. any ideas how they might approach anime for it moving forward? aside from originals that is...those are obvious but also few and far between
  9. yes i don't know that but with streaming being the future and many companies wanting to hoard everything for themselves another 10 years for toonami is more of a question mark than something that's a no brainer....same goes for many networks/blocks on cable tv so get it through your thick skull! I'm not eagerly awaiting toonami's downfall and drooling at the thought of it being no more so i can rub it in everyone's faces i simply realize that with the focus being shifted to several company's own streaming services and fewer people watching cable tv as time goes by that things will only get harder for toonami moving forward...not saying they can't last into the late 2020's or 2030's but the changing tv landscape isn't making it easy lastly 4 or 5 episodes per week would mean most of the block would be one piece and I don't see them doing that unless they have no other option
  10. I'm not too familiar with a lot of sentai's catalogue so i can't really make any guesses if that's where toonami has to go for content.... food wars S5 is an easy guess since the final season's dub has been on hbo max for awhile now
  11. season two is about to premiere this sunday(with episodes showing up the next day on hbo max) and i might have to look into it because i caught some of the first season...but don't think i ever understood the appeal just seems like another one of those random for the sake of being random adult swim shows...
  12. not sure why i got the (D'Oh)incompetent reaction.... nowhere in this topic am i dumping on anything or anyone I'm merely stating the cold hard truth that when one piece finally wraps up the finale of that journey isn't gonna be seen on toonami which again i think really sucks but i suppose it can't be helped due to the sheer amount of episodes and the fact it's nowhere close to the finish line
  13. netflix exclusive or another crunchyroll show? any guesses
  14. it's less the pacing these days(although i really hate the pacing especially during the fishman island story)and more so the fact that toonami likely won't be around anymore by the time one piece does reach it's conclusion one piece and toonami have had quite the history not dragon ball z history mind you but still some history none the less so it always bothers me when i think about the day one piece ends and then think about how Far Behind toonami is from the current dubbed episodes(and how far behind those are from the subs) I Have somewhat of a Soft Spot for One Piece and just would really like to see it's conclusion celebrated on toonami however just getting to episode 1000 will be enough of a task on it's own(something the dub won't get to for years...sooo yeah)
  15. not sure why but fishman island as time went on just felt very boring to me...
  16. I Know Toei still sees value in shows being on toonami and so does TMS but I'm not sure how often situations like that will happen for the block
  17. I'd be pleasantly shocked and surprised if there was a second season for this but I'm not gonna hold my breath on it even if there was It'd be without toonami's involvement unless they backtrack on the statement about no more further projects with crunchyroll which i can't see why they'd do that....either you are continuing to work with them on original projects or you aren't pick a lane and stick to it
  18. the fact we aren't gonna see another season of this annoys me..(thanks to crunchyroll and toonami no longer working together for projects after this)
  19. I'm just saying with demarco saying Yes when someone asked if the merger is affecting toonami's ability to acquire shows i wouldn't think Demon Slayer S2 would continue to be the exception AOT Has that contract that means it absolutely must come to toonami before it streams..... i don't know why i keep being downvoted and treated like I'm just screaming "The Block's dead waaaah! the block's gonna be canceled" when it's no secret getting shows from crunchyroll has been difficult if not outright impossible in the cases of stuff such as mob Psycho 100 S2 I Don't think the block's screwed but if you take out crunchyroll then toonami has to get very creative with what they show as Sentai doesn't have anywhere near the credible catalogue that crunchyroll does
  20. with funi/cr merged it doesn't make things any better....whatever replaces shenmue and aot will tell us what's toonami working with if we don't see any Crunchyroll content then it's probably a good sign that relationship is over and we can consider stuff like dr.stone season 3/my hero academia season 6 never coming to the block
  21. i got a couple decks i like playing in master duel currently prank kids dragon maids toons
