Think, humans and chimps evolved separately, and now humans are a huge threat to just about all other species of animals. It's not because we necessarily want to rule over all other animals; it's just the way our lifestyles are with nature. That, I believe, will be the same case for humans who will be left behind with our primitive ways of thinking under humans "allowed" to evolve with machines; they will be a threat to our current ways of life, but they don't necessarily mean us harm. Of course, I don't believe this wholeheartedly, as there are many other possibilities.
