  1. I'm like 3 seconds away from posting the Monster's Ball sex scene but I'm also 3 strikes away from being banished. Help?
  2. Oof I don't think I'll be able to jump back in at the point (let alone sit through glacier pacing at an episode or 2 a week) but power to them.
  3. The issue is none of the creatives involved with the Netflix version ever watched The Long Goodbye. Or a single Wong-Kar Wai movie.
  4. Guess I'm watching Toonami for once.
  5. I've only heard this show referred to in passing. I no nothing of it except the vague notion that it has children experiencing immense levels of trauma. I'll try not to get an erection.
  6. I'm waiting for the Selectavision blu-rays to come out before I continue. The 30th Anniversary footage has served me well in some places, but there are episodes that are so flat and watercolory that it clashes with the more three-dimensional Kai footage in comparison. I've realized I cannot go any further with the 30th footage (especially since I'm an episode or two away from hitting the 35mm shot episodes). So just to be as transparent as possible: SAIYAN SAGA - Cut using Level Set footage. NAMEK SAGA / 1st half of GINYU episodes - Cut using re-colored & slightly sharpened Kai footage with the 30th Anniversary Funimation sets. (Certain episodes deemed unacceptable in quality will have Selectavision footage replace the 30th). GINYU / FRIEZA SAGA thru CELL - Selectavision & Kai footage. BUU SAGA - To be determined. The Selectas will be out next month so I'll be fishing around for those BDMV files. After that, I'll put everything I got so far on Archive.org so people can stop bugging me with PM requests.
  7. Full Hearse am I right
  8. Toonami is like cars or women, they lose value over time.
  9. Oh wow no Dragon Ball for the first time since I converted to nihilism. Maybe I'll shave my balls to celebrate/mourn.
  10. Just copy The Protomen's concept albums verbatim. Only way it's even conceivable this could work.
  11. Twitter is the last bastion of porn on social media. It's both a blessing and a curse. Mostly the latter.
  12. Boku No Pico has grown men wrassling with young boys.
  13. Revolutions was the closest Western cinema has gotten to mech action, so I'll take it for that. I saw Resurrections a few days ago. The best way I could describe it is an anti-Matrix Matrix movie, as in it does everything in its power to not be anything like the other ones by being A). Self-referential, meta, and existing only to deconstruct itself B). Having close to zero action choreography (which is then "absolved" by Neo ending every fight with an air blast) and C). An internal Self vs. Self conflict rather than any kind of threat against humanity (in fact everything is fairly Utopian in Zion/Ios). As an actual stand-alone movie, it doesn't work. As a spite project against corporate sequel culture and Warner Brothers because they forced Lana's hand, it's a delight. As an epilogue, it's fine. I don't feel like I wasted my time with it so I'd say watch it if you're curious, but I wouldn't actively say to anyone "You gotta watch this!"
  14. American Dad dropping two nukes on Toonami confirmed.
  15. The order it aired here is the same as the HBO Max version. BTW I rewatched all the Matrix movies this week for the first time in years. Within that period I almost fell for the "The 1st one is the only good one" narrative. Yeah nah Reloaded fuckin slaps. The Zion Temple fuck scene/The Frenchman & Monica Bellucci/The Twins/Morpheus wielding a katana/The CHASE SCENE *chef's kiss* Revolutions feels like a rush to the finish line in comparison, but whatever it gets the job done. [I gotta say too, I have the UHD discs and the transfer is divine. It's so clear in fact that you can tell the city backdrop on the beginning rooftop scene with Trinity in the 1st one is just a cardboard wall.]
  16. It's called having 4 companies taking charge of all media, and then increasing the cost of their output to the point only major streaming can afford it (assuming said creator don't have a service themselves). Mark my words, expect all hot Funimation properties to be off limits.
  17. I've seen doorknobs more alive than Toonami.
  18. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh please never try to make a joke again owl
