  1. The Boy and The Heron /10
  2. At least SOMEONE decent outlived Henry Kissinger
  3. DBZ got hit the worst out of literally anything I've ever seen, but it shows up more often than you think (Terminator 2 and American Graffiti's 4k discs are a travesty). Dr. Stone S3 14 - 17
  4. Imagine being on such a moral high horse that you won't shoot NPCs. Imagine.
  5. Napoleon - Entertaining enough but a total mess. Thing goes at 1.5x speed with no intention of properly establishing characters or why anything is happening. Some baffling lines of dialog that are gonna be memed to hell for the next decade. short changed/10. Looking forward to the 4-hour cut. The big gripe I have against the US Godzilla movies is the wasted human story opportunities [Brian Cranston should've spent the rest of GZ '14 trying to exact revenge on GZ dammit]. It's why I found Shin Godzilla (or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Beast) so refreshing in the first place [not discounting all the Anno-isms of course]. Will see Minus One this week.
  6. Aside from the HDR grade (which is nice), the level of detail between the Blu-ray and 4K has actually decreased thanks to aggressive DNR. Dr. Stone S3 E12 - 13
  7. The Rebuild Of Scott Pilgrim 1.11 (completed) It was ok. I liked the new take but the humor was kinda muted. The 5th episode's the best of the bunch. Also Will Forte singing a song from motherfucking Bubblegum Crisis was not something on my bingo book this year.
  8. Napoleon - Wait for the Director's Cut/10
  9. Saltburn - Classic gothic literature for the modern age, but also an affront against God. Emerald Fennell needs Jesus. ???/10
  10. Scott Pilgrim Takes Off 1-2 Ohhhhhhhhh, so THAT's why it's called "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off." ...oh.
  11. Finished Pluto. Enjoyed it but also mildly disappointed. It shows up throughout the series, but that last episode especially was marred by a certain on-the-nose sentimentality that I'm having less and less tolerance for in anime these days.
  12. Had a full ass turkey leg and wing in the fridge I'd intended to have for dinner tonight but had to throw it out because it looked like it was already spoiling.
  13. Being held in a carriage outside the venue where my 1st birthday was.
  14. I was like 7 and one random Saturday I was at my grandparents house (RIP) watching CN (Cablevision didn't get Cartoon Network in our area until mid-2001 for some reason, so I'd have to go 20 mins away to either my grandparents or uncle's [also RIP] to see it) and they were marathoning the Garlic Jr. Saga. Thought it was cool but didn't really pay attention until about a year later when a cousin "officially" introduced me to DBZ during the Cell saga, and the rest....
  15. Idk I was relishing in that world just because of how unique and out there it was. Also the double-edged sword of immeasurable cutesiness vs. The Most Fucked Up Shit Ever™ still gets to me. Vibes-wise it gives me X-rated Land Before Time lol (but they do need to tighten things up for the next season, sure).
