His problem (and Sinema's to a lesser degree) is that there is simply no more needle to thread in federal politics anymore outside of maybe Alaska.

Raptorpat replied to NewBluntsworth's topic in Current Events
Kentucky Gov - Beshear (D) wins reelections Mississippi Gov - Reeves (R) wins reelection Virginia Statehouse - Dems hold Senate, retake the House NJ Statehouse (i guess) - GOP underperforms (but it's Jersey so ok) Ohio referenda - abortion constitutional rights and marijuana legalization both pass -

The Ohio abortion rights referendum passed. It looks like the marijuana one will most likely pass too. -
I think it's a combination of theater and incompetence. Trump obviously prioritizes loyalty over quality at this point.

lol who remembers the time Dave Wasserman got in trouble for people construing his "I've seen enough" tweets as official network calls and he had to put up a disclaimer -
Their strategy is to treat it like a political debate instead of a legal trial and to try to push the judge into overreacting so they can claim political prosecution from a partisan judge.

We can make more themes. The immediate job is to tweak up the two main ones, and then it's just a function of time/energy to whip more up beyond that.

I changed the editor to the one other available without having to involve KN to download/install/build anything.

Once we lock in these two "main" themes, we can make more themes to the extent that viperxmns enjoys doing it.

hey @[classic swim] do you have any input on tweaking the asmb theme? you are our resident asmb theme expert

2024 Presidential Elections: the schadenfreude commences

I would caution against speaking in definitive absolutes. There were polls a year out showing Romney beating Obama in 2012, and I'm sure we can go back to previous reelection campaigns to find the same thing. Which is not to say disregard early polls or bad polls. The real intel is that the polling aggregate a year out creates a baseline for the incumbent's campaign to develop its reengagement strategy because in the general sense only the outside partisans are already in campaign mode. Once the active campaign isn't one side and is framed more as a choice than a referendum, numbers will shift. -
I held off on you, I have a few more ready in the next week or so. but for context, in this season with an egg, it is 300k for best friend and 150k for a tier 3 friend, so even holding off on you i still walked away with 450k off two people before counting evolutions and research prizes and stuff.
-
@1pooh4u probably gonna load the lucky egg in about 20-25 minutes if you want to today, otherwise i can catch you in my next one
-
no XP bonuses for the community day, but there's a 1.5XP bonus for the season for increasing friend levels the community day thing is just because my friend and his gf were both 1 gift away from leveling up and he suggested it as if I hadn't been waiting for them to pick the game back up again for the past two years
-
a friend suggested best friendening during today's community day, so I might have a lucky egg up for that but I haven't heard back since he asked last night. I've been holding onto you because a few other people were closing in too, I think wacky is 11 days off.
