Yo so I've been like 10-15 pounds overweight. So I quit drinking soda in August and lost no sugar weight over the following few months, and then I fell off the wagon on Thanksgiving and (not that I'm a heavy consumer of it now) I've gained another five-ish pounds. I think the cannibal is just pushing me forward regardless.

Even after admitting all of the lies were lies, nothing will happen unless McCarthy fails to win the speakership. Then he either loses a primary or the general in two years because he's a fraud.

I tend to speculate (obviously from a position of privilege) that companies following through their threats to automate would force the UBI issue. If they honestly think they can provide the same level of service or better, then the business should be able to test the water if the powers that be are also willing to figure out how to restructure the economy. Though obviously I'm being extremely theoretical because it's super messy. Like building a new McD's that's automated is different than reworking an old McD's and laying off the staff. I think an automation tax is the theoretical remedy to that.

Temperatures are supposed to upswing out of freezing, like 38 today and 50 tomorrow, just enough to get the remaining ice off my driveway. Then we get another storm over the weekend.

Neither the DCCC nor the local or national media picked up on this until now, despite this being the second time the guy's run for this seat. The million dollar question though is what will happen? Will he be forced out? He is a pro-McCarthy vote and McCarthy doesn't have enough votes for speaker yet, so my guess is McCarthy will protect Santos to guarantee his vote.
