Star Blazers 2199 24 Megalobox 3.

While I have not seen much of the show, I am aware of just how insanely popular Froppy is. When the freaking Gold Digger Artist is making a MHA doujin with her, you have officially made it.

They’re still doing it. It’s why I’ve taken to watching the newest episode on Saturday mornings before going to the gym.

Maybe a second viewing will help. That and admittedly distance from One Punch Man. Also “those who think Toonami can do nothing right.” So, unevenedge?

I remember having issues with the premise where they seemed to be wanting to tell another story where the main character became the universe’s version of Batman, then had a hard shift to the school setting. I can’t say I watched enough of it to be well versed past the premise.

So...I guess I have get ready to hate this show now. I haven’t seen a single episode (It’s on the VRV archive and I keep telling myself I’ll start it eventually) but it’s on Toonami so that means guzzling the Hatorade. Maybe I’m a bit annoyed it wasn’t Star Blazers 2199 because I REALLY want more people to see that show.

Yeah, this. They’re essentially serials like the old Flash Gordon ones shown in theaters.

It’s getting a Netflix show. We have enough isekai crap. That and more people need to see Star Blazers 2199.

Star Blazers 2199 May be from 2012, but has production values that completely and utterly dwarf those of every other show on the block. Also its sequel came out this year.

We’re talking steak? My recipe as of late is patting them dry, marinating in Worcester sauce and spices for an hour minimum, then cooking in the pan for 5 minutes on one side in olive oil. Flip it, add butter and thyme, and put it in the oven at 400 degrees for 4 to 7 minutes (5 minutes gets you medium rare). The end result is juicy and full of flavor. If using the pan is good enough for all those cooking shows, there’s probably a method to the madness.

If you don't feel like hovering over some custom smoker, the easy way is to slow cook ribs for 4 hours high (or 8 hours low), then add some sauce, then cook them in the oven on 375 for 15 minutes to caramelize the sauce. The end result is ribs where the meat is falling off the bone.

Speaking of long runners, what about Full Metal Panic, now that Invisible Victory hit? 3 seasons of material right there.

I’m one of those Johnny Come Latelys who started with Yakuza 0. Preordered 6. Cannot wait.

Space Battleship Yamato/Star Blazers 2199 23. I feel like I’m screaming at a brick wall when I tell people how amazing this show is. The Internet likes Voltron for God’s sake. Yamato 2199 is a better show than Voltron in virtually every way possible.

I tend to agree normally, but combat sports are a massive exception because they are fights, and that's what anime does. It's just done with a bit more care. (Seriously Japan, make a Karate Minoru anime. Netflix will greenlight it. They greenlit everything the hell else).

It it’s on Hulu, then just use that. I think I’m the only one on board for Megalobox. Granted it’s only one episode in, but Toonami has proven it’s never too late to make up for a bad choice. Prince of Tennis over Hajime no Ippo was a terrible choice.

The only sports anime this season to air is Megalobox.

The fact that Adult Swim would make Pop Team Epic would make it less likely, not more. Why import when you can buy locally?

As a big combat sports fan (Hajime no Ippo was the shit) and a big fan of the aesthetic, I was all over this like a dog on a steak. The look, the world, all of it really has me hyped for the next episode...and an English dub.
