When does Toonami ever get lewd stuff? They’re running on fumes, I noticed a show get popular, so I figured it was doing something to attract an audience. Honestly, you could look at any popular show and do the same examination. But no, better to be noble with…nothing, since no one wants to give them anything.

I’m all ears if there’s something as horny as Bastard!! they can get. And isn’t taken by Crunchyroll.

Yeah, focusing on the kids will do that when you don’t have the writing to make them compelling. Meanwhile Bastard!! decided the solution was to turn the horny up to 11 (or more accurately, Rumiko decided to dial back the horny and focus on the female audience).

Well Primal is premiering this month, but it's on [adult swim] proper with a next day HBO Max airing. I'd say Toonami needs to find a new InuYasha to appeal to men and women, but somehow, Bastard!! is turning into that.

Yeah, I doubt the MC (Somehow Bastard!! is turning into the new InuYasha and I couldn’t find it funnier).

Season 2 of this show is bound to reference new western cartoons at least once and Rick and Morty has enough overlap with anime fandom they’re making an anime as filler between seasons. I gather a show that’s essentially a love letter to Western cartoons would reference the one people like.

Anyway: What do you think the over/under is on Rick and Morty references?

After dipping their toes in with those movie showings, the series proper have been licensed.

Bastard!! 5-6. This show is a rocket of horny that keeps accelerating. The thing is, it’s very tongue in cheek and self aware.

Bouncing between Stranger Things and Keenan and Kel. The latter is a cool down for the former.

Seeing a surprising amount of female fans for this show. I think it’s because Dark Schneider is coming off as “InuYasha, but horny”.
