Admittedly the main reason I made this topic was because of the voice cast. But with everything having gone to hell, it might be worth just ignoring this.

I’m not the one saying this. Hell, I avoided even talking about the rumors until they became the only thing people are discussing with this show. I haven’t seen something this heavily targeted by right wing Youtube channels since Captain Marvel.

People feel baited apparently (this according to the reaction from Heman.org, a big He-Man fansite), not helped by rumors that have dogged the production from Day 1 that said this thing was going to be as woke as possible, ending with He-Man being dismissed as a loser and the main female Teela and her girlfriend being the new main heroes. Couple that with Teela's Rhea Ripley hair, and everyone assumed the rumors were true and Kevin Smith was full of shit (since he has repeatedly said the rumors were not true).

94% Critic Score on Rotten Tomatoes to 32% audience score. It's Last Jedi all over again.

Maybe I’m in a weird area being in a big city but I see HxH shirts and saw someone with a Jujitsu Kaisen shirt by the office. I don’t see too many Owl House shirts in comparison (which is why it got canceled).

Anime shirts aren't the "hit me" level oddity they were in 2004. The amount of anime themed workout apparel is...quite noticeable.

We’re pretty chill shitposters for the most part, which makes all this even more baffling. He still thinks it’s 1995, Super Adventures is on, and anime is confined to that weird, weird part of the VHS store.

Thought to be lost media, this VHS rip of the pilot looks to be contemporary with Beast Wars. Is it any wonder FUNi stuck to anime releases?

Fair enough, but the market might force it. I just prefer digital for space saving purposes. You only have so much room in the house, and keeping all those volumes of manga in a digital form for tablet reading makes it easier to use the space for other stuff.
