  1. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-03-02/sentai-filmworks-announces-new-partnership-with-mbs-licenses-the-most-heretical-last-boss-queen-/.195522 AMC hasn't made huge moves with Sentai since the purchase...until now.
  2. It’s open season on the civil end.
  3. Apparently said techbros used Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust as their art style to train the AI on. But since Bakshi is one of the best known rotoscoping animators, his opinion is especially valid (and hilarious).
  4. They specifically described what they made as anime.
  5. If 84 year old Ralph Baskhi emerges to clown on your AI's attempt at rotoscoping, you fucked up.
  6. I still don't get how Birdgirl got a second season. I do understand that Jellystone! and Warner's desire to use the Hanna-Barbera characters for something besides satire and stoner shows made everything people liked about Harvey Birdman off limits, but still, Birdgirl is a pointless show when you get down to it on the level of AfterM.A.S.H. With that being said, April Fools, if it occurs on Saturday or Sunday, might just go with an old reliable airing of The Room or some other low-budget film clumsily edited for the joke. The running of Adult Swim feels so chaotic lately with the ratings fails and the other stuff that a big, elaborate prank feels like their last priority. You can do that when you're on top, not when it's all hands on deck because the company's CEO keeps writing off your shows for the tax benefits.
  7. https://www.independent.co.uk/tech/twitter-down-not-working-elon-musk-b2291878.html Massive outages on the heels of firing everyone. Who would have guessed?
  8. The only show that DeMarco expressed interest in these past few months that wasn't off-limits for whatever reason was Urusei Yatsura, which is set to debut on HiDive tomorrow. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-02-27/new-urusei-yatsura-anime-english-dub-streams-on-march-1/.195380 Granted, I think airing Yatsura is a really bad idea, but it's the only dub that DeMarco has expressed interest in that's actually available and ready to go.
  9. A24 wouldn’t do that. Right?
  10. Mustaches? The Urusei Yatsura dub Sentai just cast? I’m actually wondering if all the Roiland stuff (April is apparently his next court appearance) will make them hold off on new Rick tie-ins.
  11. More animation, no announcements concerning where it’s going to air.
  12. You add a bit to the sauce to counter the acidity, last I checked. Not a ton, it's not a goddamn sugar bowl, but a bit. Every good recipe I've seen for slow-cooked sauce has some.
  13. It’s stop motion which is new. I can tell that the Psyduck looks lost.
  14. Night Court 2023 1 - Set up, but still having fun with the setting.
  15. Gets better - Jordan, as the director, made his co-star Jonathan Majors study anime so he knew how to make the rivalry work - https://comicbook.com/anime/news/creed-3-anime-fight-naruto-kakashi-obito/
  16. This almost felt like an apology after Killing Joke's decidedly divided reception. It's a classic JLU episode with a new heroine, Jessica Cruz, a Lantern DC has been trying to push these past few years due to her heritage and the fact that she's overcoming a lot of issues. But it still feels like JLU, the visuals, the writing (unlike Batman and Harley Quinn which had the visuals, but felt more like a dry run for the Harley TV show even if that Harley was more into Dick Grayson's...you know), the voices, and the structure. It all comes together really well and is a worthy addition to the Justice League's robust animated history.
  17. I don't get what people see in this show. Intentionally poor animation is still poor animation, the idea that we're supposed to take this weird parody from the Superjail guy semi-serious is absolutely wild to me, and the comparisons to freaking Space Battleship Yamato 2199, which is an absolute epic of a space opera that more people really should watch, is damn near insulting. (To be fair, I was equally insulted at an indie game called Jumplight Odyssey that's essentially "What if Yamato 2199 looked and was written like She-Ra and the Princesses of Power? The answer is "Fuck you for this, burn it.") I know they can't air Yamato 2199 because Crunchyroll, but still...
  18. I still think all these years later Adams is still bitter that the Dilbert TV show only lasted a single season, and he's blaming everyone and everything else for it.
  19. This one? They got Rian Johnson of all people to speak on it. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/digital/rian-johnson-jerry-bruckheimer-streamers-pulling-projects-1235330823/
  20. That’s like saying “You never got to drive a Ferrari, but at least here’s a bicycle for you to ride in.”
  21. The days of weebs and other fans making media their entire personality are, if not in the past, being pushed back against (thankfully) but so are the days of hiding any affection for the medium.
