To me saying the punchline in the setup in of itself isn't a problem IF I did a sufficient job in tricking the reader into thinking I mean one thing when I really meant something completely different. But was I sufficient in doing that is the question.

Probably, but not necessarily.... I don't think Luanne the character ever died, even though her VA did. One option, since this is set pretty far in the future from the original series, is to have another VA voice her.... or she could be written out of the show somehow. Oh yeah, Tom Petty who voiced Lucky is also dead.... maybe Hank and Peggy could raise the orphan child, maybe the kid is about the same age Bobby was in the original series.

Ok, THAT was a good one. And I don't even drink so I can't say I agree or disagree with the opinion presented, but that was just a good joke.
