  1. Windows 10 just did an update on my computer a few days ago. Previously, with my screen saver set to Blank, the screen would go dark, about the color of the top bar when you quote someone here. After the Windows update, without changing any settings, the Blank screen saver is now a very bright grey. If I open up my background settings, and search for Screen Saver to change the screen saver, the selected option only opens up the folder for the C: drive. Can only access screen saver settings through the link in the Lock Screen tab. Once I finally get there, I can confirm my screen saver settings are all the same. Previewing the Blank screen saver sets the screen to the original dark. But if the computer is left idle until the Blank screen saver should kick in, it remains the brighter color. Any idea what Windows broke? And possibly what I might have to break to fix it? Googling was kinda awkward, finding too many results of the "blank screen" variety and not so much anything about screen savers. About all I found was this, and the stupid fuck didn't even follow directions to confirm if it worked. If that's my solution, is "Uninstall Device" in the Drivers tab what I'm looking for? I updated the drivers on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, Intel HD Graphics 630 says it's up to date, so may need a re-install?
  2. I suspect different town. Different town, different MM plant.
  3. My bad. I did a dumb and forgot I don't actually watch [as] much anymore to notice these things. Remembered all the ads leading up to it, but hadn't yet seen or realized they are in fact doing a "next time" ad as well.
  4. Kinda confused how they can get something this big and not continue to advertise for it. I guess Super takes up all their weekly allotted ad time.
  5. Which, in its own way, is a point in itself. Ignorance is bliss. As long as you never know about the shady shit, it can't affect your perception of what it may have influenced. Re: previous discussion of separating art from artist and enjoying the work despite more intimate knowledge of the creator. As long as fans or anyone potentially interested don't go digging that far, it won't have quite so huge an impact as the pessimists would suggest.
  6. Of all the examples brought up for comparison, kinda surprised Ren & Stimpy creator wasn't one of them.
  7. My impression is this arc exists solely to show off a super mega special awesome flashy amazing badass fight, by giving the strongest characters an opponent that can take everything they've got and keep going. A fight that doesn't end when they "give it everything they've got." But it gets really boring when you keep in the back of your head, "Ok, but, he's immortal/indestructible." But it's Dragon Ball. Fighting is never not the answer. Next episode promos kinda spoiled the rest, it seems like. "He fused, so he's only half indestructible now. But since we're showing off the biggest most explosive fight ever, we may as well have you two fuse as well. And keep hitting him. I'm sure it'll work eventually."
  8. "The universe has a buttload of centers."
  9. Nobody in anime discussion cares about your trolling, zeni.
  10. Nah. Just about everything with Jinyu seemed like it was trying to copy Haruko's actions. In fact, the scene with Haruko and Atomsk makes me wonder if Jinyu is some sort of split-off counterpart to Haruko. Kinda looked like Haruko finally caught him, and couldn't handle the power.
  11. Man, this episode was so much more bearable than usual. Gee, I wonder why.
  12. Reading through comments, it almost sounds like you missed the kid talking about sex with teacher. Combined with the bandage and the vespa foreshadowing... Even though some of you did guess at Haruko. Idk. This episode felt like it was trying too hard to be FLCL. And, I'm guessing since we've already established some stuff from the original, this just felt like it was all too logical. Still interested in how the story progresses, and what themes it'll play with. And more importantly, if any of the stuff in the ending will be relevant.
  13. If you're going to teabag someone, you don't want to do it with a sack of marbles.
  14. Maybe 500 posts is meant to make the boards look more active than they really are. Cuz that's an investment when there's nobody and nothing worth sticking around for.
  15. By avoiding any videos or promos of this, I might just be able to stomach giving the show a chance. I sorta vaguely tried to watch OK Go. Too generic-kids-show for me, but at least it didn't seem inherently awful. Craig reminds me too much of Clarence artistically to give it any attention. So, while the art here looks somewhere on the spectrum between Steven Universe and OK Go, I'll hold onto the belief that it might not be totally atrocious. But it's certainly nothing close to what Thundercats fans would want out of a reboot. Creators getting defensive about it certainly doesn't help, either. But by the end of this, somebody's going to be eating their words.
  16. I disagree. I think this episode is probably my most favorite, for the sheer absurdity.
  17. Random question, what was that bug on the coin supposed to be? 12 legs and 3 body segments kinda rules out a lot of things.
  18. Don't get me wrong, I get the coolness factor. But I also struggle getting over the practicality of it. But also it felt a bit silly in a fight such as this. Bringing a knife to a gun fight, so to speak.
  19. I kinda felt like there were a few chunks of this arc that still could've been trimmed down more for Kai. Lot of needless feet dragging here.
  20. FFS, this fuckin episode. "I made a scythe! But then I realized fighting with a scythe is actually kinda really stupid so here's some shadow clones for you to punch, because I've been on a bit of a Naruto kick lately." "My power is beyond even my own comprehension." "Here, Trunks, I just happen to conveniently have this video of the Containment Wave plan we came up with, and since nobody else is going to use it... Oh, wait, nvm, actually that was all doomed from the start." "I mean, you had to expect we'd fuse eventually, right? Chekhov's Gun, yo."
  21. What I'm hearing is fuggs is gone, so, that's already a significant improvement. Probably one of the major contributors to why some of the older folks abandoned ship. Re: new members, that's just been an issue for the community since [as] stopped promoting the boards. We stagnated ages ago, which led to the insular group that slowly pared itself down. Since then, growth and fresh faces were typically thrown straight to the wolves, survival of the fittest style. We might want new members, but it's not as easy to find others that hate themselves as much as we do, enough to fit in with the shit posting. And, I'd say you've still got one or two members that probably still keep new folks from settling in. For myself, this place is a pale shadow of what I'd want. I'm not even sure I could really dedicate myself much to a forum again anyway. The old guard isn't coming back, the new stock is lower quality. It's a place I can count on for some random Toonami posting, see some of you dinguses still dingusing. And I don't have to learn how reddit or twitter works. So, it's about all I could really ask for.
  22. Don't forget the Containment Wave plan. Conveniently swapped to "Eh, we didn't really like that plan anyway" as soon as they got there. I mean, until Bulma whipped out the super glue, it seemed like they were legit just falling back on the same plan that hasn't worked out so far a few times over.
  23. Crazy time travel paradox question time. How does Future Trunks, whom we know is from an "alternate" future, keep traveling back in time to the "current" timeline? I can sorta understand at the origin point, saving Goku from heart disease or whatever, when that timeline was still part of his own. But after that, it's established that Trunks is on a completely different timeline. So, if he travels back in time, why isn't he traveling along his timeline? He's clearly not only traveling backwards, but sideways to make it over to the alternate line where Goku was saved. (side note, in Trunks' future, Goku was still killed by heart disease, wasn't he? Where'd Goku Black come from again?) All of this is also completely ignoring the question of why the hell Trunks doesn't just keep time hopping to share new information faster so everyone can keep being more prepared with each iteration. They know Beerus' plan failed, so maybe hop back a little further so they can get ahead of the game on that one.
  24. Why does our smallest currency have to be darker than all the rest? Is it some sort of ironic joke to put Lincoln on it, too?
  25. I mean, Trunks did spar with SSG Vegeta, didn't he? Easy justification for "saiyan got stronger." More importantly, I feel like Beerus/Whis really should've known about the time rings being able to null any past effects. They really ought to have expected some sort of complication. What are the chances they pull out a "bad guy trump card" and use the potara earrings to fuse? Would they retain Zamasu's invincibility plus the combined boosted fusion of power?
